  2. I grew up eating between 5 and 5:30, these days it's closer to being between 7 and 8 (which I know isn't great)

I'm stupidy bad at this but I don't eat till like 730 - 830 on every week day. I'm a lazy POS and get into work late so I leave late and I love to cook so no matter what time it is, I'm doing something in the kitchen when I get home to push dinner to a less than ideal time. I'm trying to get better at it.

If going out with friends for dinner, 6-8 seems reasonable with 8 being less than ideal but not unheard of. 630 is a good sweet spot for me. Though on a Sunday, I'm all about an early dinner and think 5 / 530 is good.

8 is perfect for going out to dinner on like a Friday.

My fiance and I don't get home til around 6 and one of us has to walk the dog and we both always need a buffer before starting cooking so we don't usually get started til around 7.

We’ve been getting dinner once a month with my gf’s sister and brother in law and we usually do 5 on a Saturday and then we can go to a brewery or something after.

During the week I usually eat dinner between 5-6 because my parents always did.

I keep getting coupons for a free week of factor meals. You can get 8 meals for $10 shipping. I have 3 codes if anyone wants one.

I'm gonna guess work from home. I'd 100% eat closer to 6 if I did and is one of the main reasons I'd like to work from home. I'd get so much food prep done by just taking my breaks to do that. Instead I take breaks doing dumb shit like posting here. (Not that I wouldn't keep this up too).

Yeah I work from home and usually food prep my dinners on Sunday if I’m cooking that week.

  16. I am working from home this week and very excited that I won't have to eat protein bars and snack crackers for four days straight

You can't bring lunch to work??

  18. This is a good point, I just hate only having a microwave available to us. There's not much I could meal prep that I would look forward to any more than something easy like a protein bar and some crackers. They usually tide me over until I get home, anyways.

Yeah that's definitely fair. I just pack up a wrap and bag of carrots in my lunch box so I don't really have anything that needs to be heated

  20. I tend to skip breakfast, eat a small lunch, usually starving when I get home so I have a small snack, and then make a bigger protein-based dinner. I could definitely stand to change some habits.

  21. After budgeting this week, I don't think I'll be able to do my weekly lunch out anyways, which fucking suuuuucks, but I guess will be good for my waistline in the long run.

speaking of controversial opinions and lunches... I'm envious of people that can just eat the same thing for lunch and just make it simple. I meal prep these days, but it's got to be something that I genuinely look forward to. Like people who just spend less than a few bucks a day on PB&J sandwiches and some crackers etc - that's a great way to count calories, be consistent and save money.

Vs going out, I still probably make meals for $4-$5 a day (easily) compared to $10+ so it makes a difference but not as much as it could if I was happy just eating simpler. If I tried to 'meal' prep that way, I'd break by Wednesday and be spending $15 at jersey mikes or panda express.
