I just listened to We Are a Team for the first time and it's so fucking good, I've been sleeping. can't wait to hear this one, Britney Spears is one of the best singles of the year

This is beautiful and massive and cathartic just as expected. These guys hold a similar space in my brain as The Hotelier. Have a lot more to go but this is looking to be just as fantastic as the last two.

 

Apple Music has the lyrics as “I stole some lines from your diary, turned them into ice cream.” Pretty sure it’s “irony,” not “ice cream,” lol

The production on this is killing me. The songs are great but there’s no weight behind any of the instruments. Sounds like I’m listening on dollar store headphones

 

Huh. Def did not feel that way on my first listen and I was looking out for that since I had that issue with Want/Need when it first dropped

 

1997 is unreal, what a song

 

this thing is such a journey. starts out so uplifting with stuff like Want/Need and then Holly Hill Store Est. 1920 just hits you like a fucking train. they really made something special here

 

I think this might be my AOTY. The stretch from Common Everlasting through D-O-O-M is unbelievable

 

I've never heard of this band before - but reading all of your descriptions and feeling the passion for them I'm going to delve in later
