looking through credits for Possessor, of course I know Sean Bean and Jennifer Jason Leigh, but apparently I've already seen Tuppence Middleton in Sense8 and Black Mirror, and Christopher Abbott in Sanctuary and the trailer for Wolf Man. did not recognize them

I know Andrea Riseborough was in Mandy (which I need to finish) but omg she was in Never Let Me Go? and also Black Mirror as well?

 

Finished VHS Beyond and I liked it but the Fur Babies segment seemed way out of place? Stowaway was so good tho, let Kate Siegel co-direct something with Flanagan.

 

Yeah the Fur Babies one was a weird inclusion.

 

It is kinda funny that Justin Long was involved in creating that one - really manifesting some more Tusk energy

the main character's fate at the end of Stowaway is the most fucked up thing I've seen in a minute, Flanagan going back to his Absentia days with that one

The Fest is over. Aside from one vendor we had to kick out for saying something super fucked up to me and making one of our staff members cry (don't visit Trundle Manor in Pittsburgh), it went exceptionally well. About twice as many people and merch sales as we could have expected. More filmmakers traveled to interview ith us and see their films on the big screen than I can ever remember happening, including international folks. I feel really proud and bittersweet about it being over and also fucking exhausted. I wish I took Monday off.

 

Yeah I watched it last night and had a great time with it.

 

His wife directed it though, right? Kate Siegel, not Flanagan himself.

Did Ma this morning for hooptober. Was very meh on it until the last third. It really ramped up and went much darker than I was expecting! Most of the performances were largely mediocre except Octavia Spencer - she really brought it. Pleasantly surprised.

 

watching The Ring again, the sound design for the videotape is so fucking good. absolutely terrifying

 

I liked It Follows (2014). This unique horror film uses a supernatural curse as a metaphor for modern anxieties.
