The thing is, I thought our defense looked great against Georgia that first half. Since then, they've shown nothing at all. I feel like the lack of in-game adjustments are super concerning. Like, we're losing the in-game chess match. Also, these guys appear bone-headed and undisciplined.

I guess this is what college football is now though. Anyone can beat anyone. Feels a lot like the NFL.

 

Joe Milton and Nico are going a long way to show how good Hendon Hooker was over the last two seasons at running this offense.

Has half of the top ten lost in the same week before? Because if this Miami score holds, it’s 1, 4, 8, 9, 10 all lost.

 

was just trying to look up the same question. found a reddit post mentioning that 3, 5, 7, and 10 all lost the same week in 2007 but haven't as of yet found any evidence of 5 losses in one week

So it has happened before

2003 was apparently a wild year. 4 different weeks has 4 top 10 losses in it.

Also happened in 2007. I think that Reddit post just didn't mention the 4 seed lost that week (Week 4, Oklahoma (3), Florida (4), West Virginia (5), Texas (7), Rutgers (10) and Oregon (11) all lost as well)

And then in 2013, 2014 and 2016

checked every year since 1990 my cheat sheet may have had bugs in it. Also doesn't account for upsets just counting top ten losses

My extreme hater week this week includes Lincoln Riley. So happy to see him flop

 

For as chaotic as this week was, I’m pretty sure my playoff teams are almost exactly the same week over week (+Boise and ND, -UNLV and Mizzou)

yeah, the thing is that i agree with the post, just me and brian probably have very different ways of making it right

 

I wonder how many of those losses were against unranked teams. 1, 4, 10, 11 were all to unranked teams with 9 Mizzou losing to 25 (still upset of course).
