I mean when you start thinking from the pov of a shallow corporate suit it makes sense. You see more dollar signs in a guy in facepaint with a pronounced gimmick that specifically appeals to the young male demo they're after and has the potential of catching the interest of someone who doesn't watch wrestling, as opposed the just the guy in tights who is really good at wrestling and has a cult following among the core of the most devoted fans.

I might be wrong but I think this deal and a new distro that opens them up to a whole new audience beyond their established base of diehard internet fans is going to change how they book and who they push. I would rather have Ospreay as top babyface and the main guy too, but imo I don't think TK is going to be booking specifically for guys like us anymore come 1/25.

I also think MJF is in a prime position in what I think is going to be the coming status quo shift too, although as a top heel. Don't see him turning back into a face for a long time. MJF and Darby will be the guys for at least 2025/2026 that is my bet.

Gimmick heavy characters who can connect to a new audience at the top in the AEW World and TNT title pictures, workhorse internet favorites in the middle in the International and Continental title pictures. That is how I see it going post-Max transition.
