Can they use the name Hurt Business there or is it gonna be like the Hurt Biz or something lol

 

Bobby Lashley has always been a big old shrug or a wrestler to me. He was probably on top during the two times I stopped watching wrestling, though. But whenever I did see him wrestle, he did nothing to make him stand out. Peak Vince era muscle guy with no charisma.

 

Weirdly enough most of his better matches took place in TNA. Unfortunately he's past his prime now. Hasn't really had a good match since the Seth feud like 3 years ago.

 

I'll try to find the tweet but when mvp showed up last week if you zoomed in on his business card it said what the name would be

I take back not being excited about Wrestledream. Mox/Bryan and Osperay/Takeshita/Ricochet are all I need. The main event angle has done a great job of building momentum after the Swerve/Hangman feud ended.

 

Wonder if they add someone to replace Cedric’s role in the Hurt Syndicate? Wouldn’t be a bad spot to debut Oku.

I used to think Lashley was so-so but he can be fun sometimes. I think he can have an entertaining little run there. They should let him wrestle the normal sized guys though and not just give him Lance Archer types

 

One thing Austin mentioned in the Vince doc that completely goes against my childhood nostalgia: "the main event of Wrestlemania 14 with Shawn was forgettable, nothing to write home about"

When I was 10-11 I had WM14 on VHS and would replay that match over and over. Maybe with adult eyes it stunk (the Tyson fast count is pretty bad especially), but it was one of the most memorable matches of my childhood for sure.

 

That match mostly suffered because Shawn had a broken back and could barely move. It wasn’t bad, but it was definitely an average main event.

 

Just from last night it feels like Mox is taking the title off Danielson and that then they're getting ready to push Darby as a top babyface and the next in line. Wouldn't be shocked if we get a long Mox/Darby feud by late December/January.

I know some people in here don't like him, but by the time the Max rollout comes around I think he is the guy TK is looking at to be the face of the company.

 

I don’t mind if Darby wins the title but he’s certainly not a “face of the company” kind of guy.

PLEASE GIVE TAKESHITA THE INTERNATIONAL TITLE

 

Darby is a transitional champ type, but you give him the title as a reward for him being a mainstay there forever, staying over and destroying his body in main event matches. You can't do that with everyone, but now is a good time to do that with him imo.

 

My rational is that coming into the Max debut they're going want a young top babyface front and center of the program that is a fresh original character that can resonate with the 18-35 demo and be marketable to a new audience. Besides Darby the only person I see possibility being in that position currently is Ospreay, but while Ospreay is rightfully popular with the diehards and probably the best current in ring performer, I just don't see him being as marketable as Darby from a corporate pov.

Like I see a WBD marketing exec looking at this roster, pointing at Darby, and saying "a lot of these wrestlers are just guys, but he's an actual character we can do stuff with"

 

I used to think Tatanka was the greatest wrestler in the world.

Yuta in the Shota role where he's pissed at Bryan for overshadowing young talent and he snaps would be fun.

 

Yep, agreed the doc definitely put him in a new light. I thought to myself, ok I'm on board if he shows up to AEW now.

Yeah I like him too but I also see him as transitional until the heavy hitters like Omega/Ospreay/MJF are ready.
