Early Census data shows electoral college advantage for Republicans

Some food for thought on what the electoral college may look like in 2020.

Swinging North Carolina blue is fucking important, considering the shrinking populations of many usually blue states (except for this year ugh) and the growth of Texas

Florida, to everyone in the country's horror, set to become even more important.

Edit: wanna add this article was published last year, so not sure how up to date the numbers are. Can't imagine they've changed much though.

If the Democrats had half a brain they'd amplify their efforts in all those swing states. hell, they should be going after all those groups that aided trump in destroying hillary, from Russia to the fbi.

Or they can just admit defeat and sulk home, feeling proud that they fought a good fight and the better candidate won. whatever.

not to remove all agency from voters, but Dems have long failed to adequately communicate the impact of traditional Republican economic policies on voters to voters.

  15. This is text from a 1997 book by Alexander Dugin, Russian political theorist who tries to find ways to modernize fascism without calling it fascism:

Foundations of Geopolitics, by Alexander Dugin

Military operations play relatively little role. The textbook believes in a sophisticated program of subversion, destabilization, and disinformation spearheaded by the Russian special services. The operations should be assisted by a tough, hard-headed utilization of Russia's gas, oil, and natural resources to bully and pressure other countries.[1]

The book states that "the maximum task [of the future] is the 'Finlandization' of all of Europe".[1]

Between this and Michelle speculation, the Democrats seem to think name recognition is the future of their party

We know it from the silence

the common person has no fucking clue about just how bad income inequality really is. and how much worse the GOP wants to make it through shit like this.

Seriously the most searing criticism we heard was "trumped up trickle down"

Eh. NH is ridiculously fickle. They'll prob go Red the next election when their lives aren't fixed. And then blue 4 years later.

i think they stayed away from policy because they feared normalizing him, and well, he and the media didn't seem too interested in policy either.

but it's not just Clinton and Trump, these are the "sane" Republican policies that have been pushed for decades and still no one has figured out how to get the message across. i kinda think it's just boring, and the Republican's say "nuh-uh" and then people don't do their own homework.

Oh I know it's not just them but if there ever was a time to drive home the dangers of republican economic policy it was this election. But instead they relied on a canned line that assumes everyone knows what trickle down means. Guess what: Reagans economic policies are taught terribly in schools. I experienced it first hand. I thought Reagonomics were extremely good until I was like, 20

"It was white people, as a bloc, not simply “working class people”, who made this happen. And white women, rather than being natural allies with Clinton, seemed to play out their historical part in the racial order to the letter. We can hope against hope that this will lay the infantilising pseudo-feminist posturing of the Clintonian type to rest, though it will certainly not stop liberals from claiming that these women didn’t know what they were voting for."
