"and notably in 2003–2004, he was a member of Senator Joseph Lieberman's campaign staff. His own personal vehicle, a Chrysler PT Cruiser decorated as the "JoeMobile", served as a prominent symbol for that campaign.[9]"

I don't know what makes me more angry, his support for Joe Lieberman or his usage of a goddamn PT Cruiser.

Remember when Hillary was up 6pts and then the FBI tossed out a letter saying emails and millions voted and undecideds made up their minds and then two days before the election was like oh never mind. That was fun.

Unfortunately, people set a low bar for what is not racist. To many, racists are people who get up and the first thought in their head is burning crosses and deporting Mexicans. They don't understand how they can be complicit in racism by avoiding its reality or voting for a candidate despite his racism and xenophobia.

More reason why I stay away from bleeding heart arguments and platitudes about hate and love.

This also lays further credence to our return to cold war tactics. the rhetoric of distrust is already in place, now it's a matter of controlling the coalition of resistence, as you've stated.

  9. I mean Hillary won the votes under 50k. So that's a weird argument for that responder to make.

it makes drawing conclusions from the results incredibly problematic. for all the valid criticisms and lessons to be learned, she may very well have run a winning campaign that lost (while still getting the popular vote) because of unprecedented interference from forces like the FBI, Russia, Wikileaks.

remember when no one cared about the president-elect insulting a handicapped reporter, saying he was gonna "bomb the shit outta them" in regards to islamic nations, when he insulted a gold star family, when he attacked an american born federal judge, when he joked about sexual assault, when he suggested second amendment supporters "take care" of his opponent, when he ...

It's seriously fascinating seeing how trump supporters, specifically white women, justify it. they express almost an ignorance to it. that his focus on destroying the status quo in Washington outweighs, you know, rape culture.

With regard to Wikileaks, I found some value in what they posted. I will not lie. However, those who continue to defend them, I will never understand. They've chosen a side here. Quite simply, their hatred of the elites, of whom Hillary is a representative, mutated into a distorted belief that engineering an election for a fascist would lead to a multi-polar world in which America was no longer powerful. It does not work like that. Empire, in the hands of a fascist, will wreak destruction across the world with the assistance of Putin; the political economy of resentment will eviscerate all those to whom they feel entitled and the new world will be united in the blood and exploitation of more, not less, people.

Progressives vs. Moderates. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few months before the chair is decided.
