THey played at Bottle and Cork in Dewey Beach last night and I am so jealous of everyone that could go. I'd be even more jealous if I didn't get to see them play there last summer.

Say what you want about DC, but I think Chris is my favorite musician. I was born in Boca Raton (where Chris at least lived when DC took off) and found out about them when I was visiting my brother there. When I was visiting my brother, the local station would always play Screaming Infidelities and Hands Down back to back and it felt like such a moment for a 12 year old at least lol. Chris seems like the sweetest guy and his ability to still kill it live after all these years is so inspiring. Every generation has their legacy act that they will continue to see as they age but I’m glad DC is mine.

also as a soon-to-be father, their newest album is my favorite album they’ve put out in a long time

I’d love a re-press of Mark, Dusk and Summer, and Shades. That’d be a sweet thing to do.

Shade is the only full-length I don’t have.

Ok, those vocals sound...too good? Jesus Christ.

edit: ok, is this like a mixed track of the actual song? Or is it just a clip of the actual track overlayed on live footage?

They were so good last night. I had a great time and enjoyed the whole set. However, I really hope Chris temporarily retires some songs soon. There was only 4 songs that were different from the last time I saw them on Hello Gone Days two years ago and they didn’t play Reason To Believe like all the other shows so far. Only bummer thing about the show. Would love to see songs like Don’t Wait, The Good Fight, Turpentine Chaser, and The Sharp Hint Of New Tears be given a break from the set for a few tours.

Anyway, here’s Remember To Breathe. I really like the extended version they do live. Makes a great song even better. You’ll find more on my channel as usual. The full band take of Southbound and Sinking was awesome, really wish we got more new songs. I also got Watch The Fire.

Yeah looking at the setlist it was a bit disappointing to see the lack of new songs given how much I loved the latest album.

They played “Heaven Here” last night for the first time since 2006. That’s a really important song for me and my wife, so getting to see it was super special.

Great concert overall, though Boys Like Girls might have stolen the show for me. Martin is just so fun.

Yo BLG were so good. Especially the new songs. I’ve been listening to the new album mixed with both TNG records all week.

agreed. The show was great but I’d love to hear some different songs live. I’ve given up on seeing bands like Senses Fail and TBS live bc it’s just the same set constantly

Meant to share this: My wife and I made Dashboard shirts for the show last week. Got asked by several people where they could buy this one.

They were awesome in Chicago. Really hit their stride second half of the show, from Remember to Breathe onwards was a tour de force.

I have some thoughts on Boys Like Girls...that was certainly a performance...65 minutes and 16 songs for a support band is too much though, without even getting to the nature of their show.

The cigarette bits were pretty dumb to me. I’m assuming it’s something they do nightly.

But yea, they should have done 45-50 and DC should have done 3 more songs.

Stopping Thunder after the first verse for a smoke break was certainly a choice.

I also thought their guitars were turned out too loud and their guitarist looked like Ronnie Radke from Wish.

I think they just paused to soak in the fans screaming at my show. But they certainly had many smoke breaks/moments.

They were loud, but in a good way IMO in Pittsburgh.
