We should absolutely move away from legacies and dynasties, it's fucking absurd that we tried to put two more members of the bush-Clinton plank in office. Hillary 2020, because we haven't learned our fucking lesson yet.

 

For real if you are all about helping people express their rage and then work with cops to get rioters arrested, fuck you. Those two things are un-fucking-reconcilable. If you're more concerned about a small business's shop window than the people that might get arrested for smashing it, fuck you. If you wanna police people's anger for any reason, you're helping police.

I mean he's already attacking the media and making himself out to be the victim. further he's still consorting with conservative media and willing to make them chief of staff. makes me very concerned as that is yet another step towards a fascist state.

What can be done to prevent it. it's happened in other demcracies, albeit less stable ones..

 

Clinton lost black, Hispanic and female votes. She received roughly 10 million fewer votes than Obama in 2012 and 15 million fewer votes than Obama in 2008. The election was lost because Democrats didn't come out to vote for her. She didn't inspire anyone. Again, it's absolutely puzzling to me how anyone can defend her abysmal performance.

This is something that doesn't get enough attention. Palin alone blew it for the Republicans and hillary we just saw. what gets lost in the mix is that Americans, even when they say they'd be fine with female leaders, don't show up to support those candidates.

the truth is that a bunch of different things could each be viewed as the deciding factor and a lot of people are just retreating to the position they had before a single vote was cast. - not meant as a comment on people in this thread, just in general.
