    As a Wolves believer, I don’t think I’m a Wolves believer anymore.

Vibes wise, Minnesota fucked up so bad. If they don’t flip Randle for a better fit I don’t even know why they did it. Will lose him for nothing, Gobert is gone soon either by then not paying him or just aging out. They might not have Ant around during his prime if this implodes, now was the time to go for it. I just hate it more and more.

The Wolves went all in on beating the Nuggets and did so, and now they’re like “nah we’re good” all to save some money

it’s too bad the Nuggets also decided to save some money by letting KCP walk

Seems like the Wolves will be able to pay Naz Reid now. That's good!

Sitting on it for a bit just feels more and more icky, can understand if it is from a pure basketball perspective but they made the WCF with this core so it feels painfully obvious it is a salary cap/financial decision. Which sucks because the dude stuck it out when the team had no direction, now finally turn a corner and they get rid of him.

Definitely dont think this team gets as deep into the playoffs like last year unless mcdaniels can take another step (consistency) and naz is ready for some major minutes.

Unless they flip Randle for like their long term PG and a quality back up big, which may be harder than trading KAT for that, they might be back to play-in champs then a first round exit.

So stupid to break up a team in their small window of contention.

Yeah all offseason the Nuggets (aka Calvin Booth) have been preaching they’re trying to maximize their championship window and I just don’t buy it because if that were true you don’t let KCP walk. They’re too scared of the second apron.

I’m really hoping that Braun, Watson, and Strawther make a huge jump because otherwise they’re an early exit again

So why do we think they went for this trade? They see enough upside in Randle and Donte to compensate for KAT?

  17. It was strictly a financial decision. Randle is a free agent next year.

Saw a report it was also a move to make it easier to resign naz next summer as well, but I still do not buy it

  19. I definitely think you pay the apron coming off a successful season. It’s a bad look imo but they were never gonna pay Ant, Rudy, KAT and Naz. So KAT was the odd man out. And now Naz is gonna get paid like a mother fucker next summer when he opts out.

I refuse to believe it’s anything more than a financial move. Dante is a good addition but Randle for KAT is a negative or at best lateral as fuck.

  22. A little late on the trade talk…but I kinda don’t like it for either team.

Just feels like the Knicks are doing too much at once. Maybe that’s ok. But I don’t know. Just feels like a weird team.

Wolves moving KAT makes sense in a vacuum, I guess. But this isn’t what I envisioned lol and I like Randle more than most people. He’s a good player, he is just good for a big stinker game every now and then. And it’s a weird fit, which is the reason you’d want to trade KAT anyways….so I don’t really get it. But I do like the Donte fit. And they got a decent pick which they really need.

Have they confirmed what Charlotte got as the 3rd team in the deal?

  23. Daquan Jeffries and like a protected 2nd rounder

  24. So we won the trade?
