Wife and I are kicking off Spooky Season in a unique way with the Rodriguez/Tarantino Grindhouse double feature. She hasn’t seen either!

The Midnight Meat Train was pretty good. Decent amount of gore and the ending was pretty wild. Had a very early 2000s feel. Hated the CGI blood. Did it for the film with two cuts Gore-Us prompt. Not sure If I'll be able to find the unrated director's cut streaming anywhere but I'll try!

Watched Spirit Halloween last night and it kinda ruled. Very dumb and terrible acting, but it had Halloween spirit (sorry).

Then started Ravenous for my foreign film directed by a woman. White British ladies count, right? What a tonally strange movie. There should be a ton more horror westerns though.

My theater started showing it this weekend, but naturally I'm away until Tuesday. That day has a 6:20 showing that I might try to catch depending when the O's game is. Otherwise my last opportunity is either Tuesday or Wednesday at 9:40...

Finally watched Near Dark and absolutely loved the vibe, heightened by a killer score.

  19. Forgot to report back in here, but Eight Eyes kind of felt like Texas Chainsaw set in Europe with flashes of Hostel and House of 1000 Corpses. Not nearly as grisly as any of those, but it was a vibe! Awesome score.

    hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

not sure how i feel about those comparisons for me to watch lol

  21. Lol, if it helps it's not like torture porn, it's like your typical American couple meets a psycho while vacationing in Europe and chaos ensues. The comparisons are mostly stylistic

Watched City of the Living Dead. Really enjoyed it and the scene in the car was the first time I’ve felt queasy from a movie in god knows how long - it was incredible.

Yeah. Basically dialogue-less. Some decent gore. Nothing amazing but it was a pretty breezy 80 minutes and since I have A-List, I wasn't mad at it.
