i am now up and awake (after staying up super late for TGS) and it's ZELDA TIME BAYBEEE

 

Jealous of everyone going to play it this weekend. Want to work through my backlog

 

It's unfair that every time a ton of really cool looking indies drop on Steam, Nintendo comes out with a new $60 hotness.

 

are you sure its a joycon issue at that point, may be that the rail on the switch itself isnt making contact with the joycon if they arent charging or connecting

 

My initial two-hours-in reaction to Echoes of Wisdom is that it plays completely different from any other Zelda, particularly in combat situations

 

Yeah I've been throwing a lot of rocks lol

But I'm very into all the puzzles

 

I've strictly been echoing a 3 star enemy and then constantly throwing rocks to defeat all enemies. Occasionally I'll use the sword but the energy gauge for that runs out so fast.

Yeah I got one from the first dungeon and been echoing it ever since.

I bought and downloaded Zelda, but I can’t play it cause my in-laws are staying with us for a few days. Ugh.

Just pretend you got food poisoning and hide your Switch under a stack of magazines on the back of the toilet. No one will ever know

 

I can't get the game until next Friday unfortunately, but looks like a lot of fun! I got to demo it up through escaping the castle though and enjoyed it

 

yeah i'm havin a great time w the new Zelda. using those select elements from BOTW/TOTK in classic Zelda format is a great combo so far

I just got to the Gerudo village and turned it off for the night. I totally love the game so far. My only complaint is I wish selecting echoes was easier, since I have a lot now and scrolling gets tedious. Still though, small complaint of an amazing game so far.

 

Screw it, I got the game. So much fun. I just got to Gerudo Village, too, after repairing the first rift.

Usually I kind of hate side quests and try to get through the main story, but this game just makes you want to explore and learn as many echoes as possible. Every side quest is valuable for you later in the game. It's great. I already got two extra hearts, too. I don't even get frustrated spending a ridiculous amount of time trying to stack things to get up to a high ledge.

Also, as someone who gets really stressed under pressure, it's nice to be able to echo enemies at your opponents and just kind of sit back.. makes me less afraid of dying.

 

Also, damn, the Peahat echo is so fucking OP haha I keep decimating everything with it. The redead echo will probably also be useful.

 

Have to be smart with my budget so I think I am going to have to wait awhile to get the new Zelda unfortunately

 

Just about every one also has really bad drift or just buttons that do not work at all also
