  1. It was indeed extremely fine, that's a good way to put it. Some parts are genuinely tense, but others are just so over the top, and not in the good way. There were a lot of what I feel were unintentionally funny moments that really took me out of it. The performances are generally quite good. I read beforehand that this ending wasn't as bleak. I'm glad. I wouldn't have gone to see it otherwise. The og sounds dreadful

  2. Oh shit does this count for trapped in a suburban home? I'm knocking out Gore Us categories without even planning to

Watched Demon Disorder which was not great, such cool effects wasted on a boring story.

one of my biggest pet peeves with modern horror is just sound. From big booming sound effects covering up mediocre scares, to every monster making the same squelching / neck cracking noises, it’s all done to death.

Just a reminder that this finally releases on digital next Friday 10/4, good buddy

Speak No Evil was alright. There was a woman sat a couple of seats away from me in the cinema who kept laughing at all the violent bits.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

me and my friend were laughing a lot too, to be fair the movie basically sets you up to a lot. like the you blew my car up line? very weird tonally

  13. Anyways, The People Under the Stairs is still cuckoo bananas in a mostly great way, incredibly based movie for Wes to make and the performances are amazing. It's a liiiittle overstuffed, but hard to fault when you consider just how bonkers and bold and unique the film is. Definitely a must-watch for those who haven't seen it, especially Craven fans or those interested in black horror.

Sounds cool. I still don't know why they can't just make an adult erotic thriller and call it something new instead of throwing the name of a classic on something that you know is only going to be thematically related. Like how much juice are you really getting out of the title The Hand That Rocks the Cradle in the year 2025? Not saying the original is some sacred text, we just should be over this trend by now, it's been like decades.

  18. I do love The Hand That Rocks the Cradle
