Never really listened to Bruce beyond a few songs but I've started a discography run

Wrecked 'em? Damn near killed 'em!

While his run between Born to Run and Born in the USA is nothing but classic after classic, his first 2 albums are pretty great, and so are Tunnel of Love, The Rising, Magic and Working on a Dream.

I liked a handful on Asbury Park and I liked the second half of The Wild, The Innocent, & The E Street Shuffle

    Meet me in Montauk. Prestigious

There’s more in the last three songs on The Wild the Innocent than there is in most whole albums.

Letter to You is amazingly slept on by his fans

Yeah, Letter to You deserved better. I really love that album.

  9. Certainly a top 3 post reunion record at absolute worst

You should also listen to the live hammersmith Odeon 75 album, it’s my favorite live album ever. Better yet, watch the DVD of it, it’s fucking incredible

Yes, that's maybe the best live album by any band, ever. Totally agree

I relistened to it today and yeah, its incredible. Bruce & the E Street band are just the right balance of scrappy and raw, hungry guys in their 20s and super tight, polished performers ahead of their time.

Can’t wait for the next round of “i’ll never listen to Born in the USA ever again!”

Road Diary is excellent. Really great bts of the 2023 tour.

  18. Yeah, it's really cool to see the rehearsal footage and the little bit of the band hanging out in their RV on the early tours, and of course the live stuff sounds awesome. I would love to see a Bruce doc that isn't so "authorized documentary" someday, but this and the Letter To You movie are still really neat.

i thought his explanation and insight into the mostly rigid setlist choice was very interesting considering how much blowback he got online about how little he was changing things up every night. was very cool to see that he was actually purposefully trying to build a story through this specific setlist.

At this point “If I Was A Priest” is in my top five Bruce songs.

  21. Absolutely insane that it took him almost fifty years to put it on a record

It's CRAZY good and I agree

You wonder how many more songs of this type/quality he has in the unreleased archives

Love the re recorded version of this but I’ll always love the original 1972 solo version. I miss when he used to try and sing like van morrison lol:

I've reached Human Touch in my 1st time through discography run. Reading back it looks like this is widely considered his worst but ... I'm not hating it

  25. I like the title track a fair bit, but it's definitely the album I go back to the least.
