I’m going off of head coaches disputing the stat. I’m going off Doug P saying himself when asked about a 70% man coverage rate that there’s no way that’s possible and it’s funny people will confuse man with match which is a zone coverage

 

I think the lesson is that it's for both of you to just communicate clearly on it or whatever and understand each other

None of this is “gut feeling” it comes from actually doing the research on what coverages and looks are lol. I don’t ONLY rely on stats is what you should be saying

Me too, if it's being read as man when it's match it's likely because the matches never changed enough for the zone aspect of play to reveal itself and I think in that instance it's fair to judge the player on their man skills

You did not do more research than the people who work full time and then some doing this for a living in conjunction with the NFL.

Case in point - you just said match is zone coverage. It's not. There is man match and zone match.

 

I’m not - if a guy has an in-breaking route and you don’t follow him because that’s now the LB / safety’s responsibility, but a nerd has you tallied in man, that CB gets knocked for actually doing their job / what they were supposed to do
