Some highlights of her bio. She was in private practice until 2022, when she was appointed to the state appellate court (skipping the trial court, which is the traditional path). A year later, she was elevated to the MO Supreme Court. So, um, she bypassed a lot of steps.

Under "Civic and Charitable Activities" she lists being a parishioner at her church, being a Sunday school teacher for two years, and being on the PTA of her son's school.

This woman's resume is rock-solid.

 

So depressing to be a part of this country and watch it do the most disgusting things. Marcellus Williams was murdered after it became clear that the state’s case is far weaker than what was presented at trial and there was at the very least a need for a new investigation and new trial. Having read the details of the case now I won’t go as far as to say he was for sure innocent or exonerated but he was certainly not proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The fact that the MO Supreme Court threw out a plea deal that would have left him in jail but just not murdered him is so fucking blood thirsty, those justices have murdered someone in my opinion.

 

Didn't the DA come out and say he didn't agree with the sentence? And didn't the victim's family even ask for the execution to not go through?

 

Yes and yes. The family signed off on the new plea deal. But the state ag objected to it. Vile stuff
