I thought music peaked with after the burial. The intro to aspiration lives in my head rent free. It also sounds great overlayed with Nickelback

Oh it was great! I went to the show after work so I didn't get there until right before Frozen Soul. Sadly, I missed Worm but heard they were great. Frozen Soul are truly a special band and seem like genuinely good people. Their live presence is sick. Gatecreeper were nuts and absolutely killed it. Heavy metal is alive and well.

 

Hell yeah. I missed Worm too but Frozen soul were great! They sounded so chuggy and heavy, and even better than on album. I barely know their catalogue, and I was headbanging away to just about every song.

Gatecreeper were great as expected (and all their stuff I do know) but I was super surprised that the crowd seemed to die down both in actual number of people, and the energy. Mine was a small venue of maybe 400-500 people, and it felt like it was close to sold out, then a quarter of the people left. Either way, I had a blast. Glad you enjoyed yours too.

Didn't have high hopes since trevor passed but this is a solid effort. Still feels like TBDM.

This new Heriot album weighs a ton.

I found their demos on myspace and didn't know they were still a band until a few years ago lol. Their demos were sick though. Its a shame what direction they went with.

 

Yeah everyone should give this a listen

 

Was just about to post that Heriot album as well. Love the oppressive atmosphere mixed with crushing, sludgy riffs. Also getting Chelsea Wolfe vibes from the clean vocals so far.
