That's why it's a moral issue to me. I will never understand the argument that it's okay to deny people healthcare because they can't afford it.

So back to the question Jason - lawyers or victims? You're preaching against sexual violence at shows but defending lawyers who take on the cases? Those lawyers are why women don't report rapes. Not sure how that's inaccurate.

What is funny though is Trump was blasted for fear-mongering and in this thread that's all you're doing. It's not the end of the world. We have checks and balances for a reason. Blame the career politicians that America had enough of.

If this country's political parties could only muster these two candidates then politicians got what they deserved, a nice middle finer.

I'm weary about the government getting involved in the internet honestly and as we've seen they're trying

I understand and agree to a certain extent. However declaring healthcare as a right doesn't guarantee it for everyone. It also compels someone to provide that right for you, which brings problems. All the angry emojis in the world won't change the fact that healthcare is a service, and a limited one at that. Starting from there makes sense to me.

  7. Both. Many people that need court appointed public defenders are also victims.

People died yesterday because of this, so, yeah, one more time: fuck off.

regulated at least. Tired of the data caps that broadband companies are enforcing. I know they are trying to make the $ they are losing from cord cutters(like me). Don't like that my neighbors pay $60 a month for up to 300gb of data per month.

Did he ever elaborate on what he was on about with the "21st Century Glass-Steagall"? I may have missed it.

Yeah, not sure how to do it while avoiding the potential issues that could arise, but I think everyone should have access somehow some way.

Okay? I mostly lurk and post sparingly, but if that upsets you then :ok:

Also I did not ask to be banned as far as I can recall.

I can't see them regulating it in a way that wouldn't give more profit to the providers while limiting data usage for the consumers

I mean, they accepted an Obama platform at one point in time. My question is why and what changed? I'm genuinely interested in your answer. I'd say that other policies were lost in the wholesale rejection of Hillary. Elsewhere, minimum wage increases prevailed, so we have uneven development across the board.

It's not bad. But it's overwhelming and exhausting. Do NOT get into it unless you know it's what you want to/are meant to do. It's honestly adversely affected my health and made me struggle with my depression in ways I had under control before taking the job. So you have to want it.

  24. Those that can should be compelled to provide for those that can't. Their "can" is built upon social/public capital of those that can't, and it is our ethical responsibility to acknowledge that.
