Be kind; everyone is on their own journey.

It's an interview with Van Jones and he shares very intimate details of his past, his fathers influence, and gets choked up talking about the year he was born, 1968, which stands as one of the most politically influential years in our history. He speaks a lot about understanding the 'other' side of conservatives and how his meetings in white families in their homes that voted for Trump went, which is part of his 3 part series on his facebook page. He shares some views regarding liberals and conservatives as well understanding the 'good guys' that don't share similar views.

A lot of his racial and class talk are very enlightening to hear and gave me a perspective that I didn't necessarily have before. It's a podcast I will remember listening to and one that I will continue to circle around back to, which I NEVER do with podcasts. (except Encore of course).

Is it fair for people that don't get sick to be penalized for not needing health insurance?

*extreme nerd voice* Actually, without Rogue One stealing the plans of the original Death Star, it would not have been destroyed and the Rebellion wouldn't have the opportunity to weaken the Empire, eventually leading to Vader and Palpatine's demise

I don't hope people die. That's pretty hateful. I do hope that the next election will allow actual competition to exist and let more than just two parties debate.

  13. Yes. And if they're rich they should pay even more for people that do get sick and can't afford it.

    Maybe so, maybe not.

What if you were hypothetically, god forbid, hit by a car and had to pay out of pocket?

sorry, I really feel absolutely nothing for Donald J Trump. The amount of people that are going to be hurt by him just being elevated to this position, not even by his policies just him being there. that makes me not give a single crap if he were to actually die. Pence too. Throw them all in the fire. Don't give a single shit.

    1. Every needs health care. In this country the way we choose to deliver health care is through (mostly private) health insurance.

    2. Fair is providing your fellow citizens the opportunity to be productive members of society. To do that you must be healthy. To do that effectively in our current infrastructure, that means healthy people need to purchase insurance to adequately risk adjust.

    3. If we didn't have for profit entities controlling access to care, you wouldn't have to buy insurance.

That would be awful, but if it's a risk I'm willing to take, then it should be my choice to make.
