The Blinkumentary must have been sooo awkward. I'm sure the dudes were never the in same room together, and it's just a lot of Mark deadpan recording guitar tracks and Tom making bleep bloop sounds on synthesizers.

 

For them to scrap the whole thing all together after year(s) of hyping it it must have been really really bad. And awkward.

 

Seems like a ton of that footage was of their initial tours.....which was probably the exact same thing lol. Each dude sitting in their respective dressing rooms never speaking to the others.

 

Yeah I feel like they put it together and you could smell the "Tom doesn't give a fuck" through the screen lol. I have no desire to revisit that era of Tom

 

Yeah I’d much prefer newer footage from the past two tours.

 

You didn't call it the "Tom doesn't want to be there"... and you consider yourself a true fan?!

 

Just release it with that title tbh lol

 

It was probably finishing up when they were breaking up or seriously struggling. Would have been a strange move to out a reunion doc when the band is in shambles internally.

 

Reminds me of the doc that was leaked soon after Tom rejoined the band back in 2022... Someone on Twitch was claiming to have been leaking the Blinkumentary, but it was another unreleased doc (that was also cancelled) that covered up to their last show in 2004 when they broke up.

Not even sure if they doc is still around, but it was an interesting watch.

 

I can still hear mark's "travis...thomas..here we are my friend" from the trailer anytime i read the word blinkumentary.

 

It’s on YouTube still. Such an epic doc

 

When are these guys going to play One More Time front to back live? I need to hear all 27 songs live.

Aaron's Instagram story says about No Fun, "The very first song we worked on for the album". Assuming he means OMT and not just the deluxe since No Fun was part of the original batch, but I thought that was interesting.

It would definitely make sense why that one feels the most like Tom just doing his thing and is more reminiscent of his other projects - he hadn't written 20+ songs with the other guys yet.

This year more than ever I have been getting a ton of Transplants plays for blink side projects. What a wild project that exists with so many releases. I would throw up if they ever announced a run of shows. Never caught them in their heyday. Forever regretting not sitting in for their last set on Warped. That stage was so stacked that summer.

 

Checking in to report that One Night Stand just doesn't do it for me...
