This is a total your mileage may vary situation. For an all day fest in Vegas, thats run as well as it has been, its worth it. Seriously some of the easiest lines for food and drink and to get in and out of the fest.

 

im going this weekend, and honestly one of the toughest schedules I’ve ever navigated. A lot of tough decisions to be made.

Prices for HFStival this weekend in DC are dropping by the day.

 

I'm going to both days this year, and I'm sure I'll have a great experience because the lineup and concept is exceptionally well-suited to me.

But regardless of whether it's a "good deal," it still has a luxury price tag that's a hard sell for the most of festival-going populace. The fact that they managed to make it sell as well as it has is incredible, which is why it's baffling to me they think they need to re-brand it to make it more profitable.

I can see them doing Sonic Temple, but not sure about Welcome To Rockville as Metallica did the 2 shows, 2 different setlist no repeats at Louder Than Life, Aftershock and Welcome To Rockville back in 2021. But maybe they play it again!

 

They opened up the movements show at the space in 2017 I don’t think they did this show

 

I thought Sonic Temple was teasing Iron Maiden in that video. Maiden has never played there (Metallica did when it was Rock on the Range, and DWP clarified this would be a brand new headliner even back to ROTR days), and the clock starts at 67:00:00, which could be seen as 666. I hope it's AC/DC or Metallica, though. Maiden isn't my cup o' tea

 

It has to be Metallica because the festival is 4 days and it mentioned three headliners. To me, that is such a weak ass gimmick for a festival to do. I know when they tour it’s how they are doing it but I think at a festival it is lame.

 

If I remember correctly, Metallica were supposed to play two nights of a bunch of DWP festivals in 2020 with differing set lists but then COVID shot that down. That was the year Epicenter (formerly Carolina Rebellion) was supposed to move back to Charlotte, NC.

 

They ended up doing dwp fests in 2021. I went to Aftershock and Rockville, one day was a "hits" set and one day was a few songs and then the black album in reverse order. No repeat songs between the 2 days.

Traveled to Michigan for the most recent Bear vs Shark show and it was incredible, I hope this means they're semi active enough to come to Chicago
