Aside from just being reprehensible, I think it’s a miscalculation. You have the opportunity to continue to grow your base but instead are turning people off, particularly young people, by abandoning progressive policies and leaning into things like xenophobia and fracking. And I know AIPAC is scary for regional elections but on the national stage I’m pretty sure you can sell not arming a genocide

 

It’s just depressing that health care is so much on the back burner now after being front and center or near front and center in pretty much every other presidential election (or at least primary) I’ve been able to vote in. If you’re gonna change up your stance on M4A, at least say you’re into the idea of like, idk, “Expanding the ACA by adding a public option to the marketplace” or something. Hell, you can even knife RFK Jr a little bit by saying you want to finish the vision of the ACA that Ted Kennedy originally championed with the public option or something. Easy layup on the issue that both signals a progressive slant on the issue while also shows you “moderating” on it from your 2020 primary stance.

Yeah see while I understand WHY she thinks she felt the need to pivot this direction.....I don't know if it'll work. Hoping it works is a double edged sword. Yes I want to beat Trump so I want it to work but at the same time, moving further right even past the center......is that REALLY what it's come to? Like seriously, abandoning progressive issues is super risky because in this two party system we have, Dems were always supposed to be the opposite of what the GOP stood for and now it's like......they're not the same per we but it's choosing between bad and worse.

Like that retirement home neighborhood down in FL....I forget what it's called but they're notorious for being trumpers but I just saw a vid of them with Kamala clothing and merch and signs. This is what I’ve dealt with since January when I had it. Resting heart rate is ~50-54, but as soon as I stand up or do even an easy recovery run at super slow pace that’s practically mall walking my bpm jumps up to 120+. Doing zone 2 training has been extremely difficult and slow going because of it. I have random twinges in my pecs and near my collar bone but the ekg on my watch on normal sinus rhythm and my labs have all come back great for cholesterol, etc. it fucking sucks and it’s made all my runs and even lifting much harder the last few months.

I also have a co worker that had it late last year that did a whole cardio workup at their cardiologist and said it’s been common to see with those that had Covid.
