I saw this tweet randomly on my timeline and went through the whole thread but I am curious what's your thoughts about it

 

I saw waiting in line for 16 hours for barrier and I started internally screaming and couldn't read past that haha , I can't picture anything more unpleasant

 

Obviously not here to judge whether or not people had a traumatic time but I hope when they grow up, they realise that being at barrier isn't everything and the experience would've been improved by taking yourself away from the situation and finding a space to enjoy. There's far too much post-covid to be made about "gig ettiquette" when these people start self policing which areas are theirs because of what time they showed up at or making queue techniques and holding spaces. You all pay the same amount at the end of the day.

 

Also the sounds quality is NOT good at barrier, so you're obviously just there for clout and social posts, not the music

 

Yeah I went up that close for exactly one concert and never again lol

 

I wish I could tell my younger self to take a few steps back and put in some ear plugs, being that close to the stage is not worth it

 

The easiest hack is standing where the sound booth is because, duh, quality sound. At festivals I try to go right in front of them so it sounds good and no one is behind me

 

plus it's cool watching them push the buttons

 

Yup that and there’s a rail to lean on lol

 

It's honestly so cool to watch sometimes haha
