I actually like it, but I feel like it sounds more like the remix of an Underoath song than an actual song of theirs.

Also, wasn't the rest of the band available for the shoot?

  7. Song has been on repeat for me. Really excited for the full release. Video is eh, but ‍

Video makes it seem like the other members don’t matter at all which is off putting. I could absolutely see it just being them two in the near future and having touring musicians.

I like the song a lot, it’s different. The structure is compelling and I’ve found myself coming back several times to listen to it.

These two seem like they would throw a fit if someone asks why the other guys aren't in the video.

  10. I'd just say I see music videos all of the time that only have the people singing so I wouldn't read to much into it personallyyyyy

heh I dig the video. Some of the poses/sequences are a bit corny, and I hope one day spencer grows up and stops flipping off the crowd/camera, but there’s a split second where we catch Aaron shoulder shrugging/dancing and I wish it was a couple seconds longer.

I like it, but it is pretty different to the Underoath we know to this point. It definitely takes a few listens to get oriented to it. I can see why some will not care for it.

That breakdown also feels super compressed.

    Aaaachem!

I’ve never listened to this band and have no frame of reference but to me it’s like they wanted to sound like a suckier version of 100 gecs

Weird that Tim, Chris and Grant aren't in the video. Song is fine IMO....better if you're not watching the video ha.

I know Tim and Chris are significant contributors to making the albums. Still bummed James is no longer with the band. Their live show definitely isn't what it used to be without him.

I just hope Aaron and Spencer aren't thinking they're the reason the band is successful and don't need the other guys. Video is giving off that vibe tho.

It can't be the case, because as you said, Tim and (especially) Chris are essential to their sound.

I hate when bands are in music videos playing their instruments and it clearly doesn’t make sense with the song. I didn’t love the video but it made sense to me to not have the whole band in the video either. The song is incredible and I can’t wait for the album.

I didn’t care for this at first, but after a few listens, it’s grown on me. Voyeurist felt like the band clicking again, in a way that Erase Me just didn’t quite achieve. I hope this next album feels the same, regardless of the lineup changes.

I’m all for experimenting and I’m willing to give something new a shot. This doesn’t feel much different than Sleepwave with some derivative pop elements and bass drops. Hopefully there’s something more truly experimental up their sleeves.

I hate when bands chastise their fans for not liking their new music. So corny
