  5. I mean ... the Central Park 5 is a pretty obvious one. But google has a bunch of stories from books and comments he's personally made as well. Like the accountant story.

I wanna move to a state where my vote matters. Honestly. That's another reason I hate the electoral college. Votes in certain states have more weight than votes in other states. It's a stupid system that doesn't make sense in 2016.

I passed a house with Trump signs in their yard while walking my dog and it took all my restraint not to run over and tear them down.

Also considering spray painting "you can't kill all of us" somewhere. I don't know where. But somewhere. Either way it's a phrase I'm going to be using a lot in the coming years.

Same here, although to be fair it's only been one day so far.
It's actually five times now. Five times. FIVE TIMES, nearing closer to 9% failure. This first happened in 1824 with Adams and Jackson. Although, in that case while Adams won the electoral, neither one had enough votes to officially win so the house decided it. And it did prevent (well, only delayed unfortunately) an Andrew Jackson presidency, so it wasn't all bad.

Bottom line, it makes no sense. I've remember learning about it in elementary school and thinking it made no sense.

Please, don't do that. I also deleted my reply to Jake's post. Sorry everyone. Remember, inciting violence will be overwhelmingly directed at the groups of people who are already oppressed. Organise with other people who have experience. Strategy is incredibly important if there is to be meaningful change.

A socialist group in St. Louis is holding a meeting Sunday about organizing protests and how to organize and fight back against trump and corporate politics. Looking forward to going and can't wait to get more involved here

California has the most electoral votes, so I guess those votes matters most? Or, do you want to move to a swing state that is relevant once every 4 years? I guess I just don't get the "my vote didn't matter if my candidate didn't win" attitude.

And, in general - All the stories I'm reading in this thread reporting of hate crimes and racism inspired by Trump - This country was founded on racism. I don't agree with it and I surely don't practice it. However, racism was here long before any of us and it will be here after we're gone. It's a sad reality, but it's reality.

You can also argue that Obama could have done a lot more to bridge the racial divide in this country.

Lastly, I heard a business owner on the radio yesterday saying healthcare costs for his business are jumping from 18K to 34K a year. Is that fair? Is it fair that if you don't have healthcare you are penalized for that? Last time I checked we had the freedom of choice in this country. On a personal level I can't wait until Obamacare is gone.

Yep, and we gotta cut this #trumpprotest shit out. I think that hashtag is a huuuuuge misstep. I don't dispute that the results of the election are the results of the election within the context of US elections' horrible history. He won. He is also now chief fascist in a growing fascist movement. And I really want all fascists to die. #bashthefash

The fact that Trump was close or hell was the nominee is what I keep coming back too. We've failed.

Sorry everyone, when I mean I had a shit day, I had a shit day so ima vent on this random person.

First off, fuck your summation of racism into some tautological, bullshit, apologist, fucking practised, pseudo-empathy. You might as well sign your shit with #dealwithit

To wit, fuck your take on Obama.

Lastly, yea, healthcare is expensive as fuck because capitalism and bipartisanship exist to benefit the assholes with capital and partisan standing at the expense of literally everyone else because they don't make decisions for your well-being. They could not care less if you live or die. If there's one thing that doesn't cease to amaze me at every fucking turn trying to have any topical conversation with people it's the defense of capitalism.

Also, business owners? Cry me a fucking river. Complain about millennials because people are pissed you're trying to force 80s Reagan down our throats. I'm paying post-tax because my asshole employers are on that shit and won't offer health insurance, overtime, expense reimbursement, or even fucking bonuses more than once a year pending review of their fucked ideals. Business owners. Life really dealt them the shite hand, right? Unreal.

Also not to whatever, but again, business owners? I get to deal with my life being at their mercy via money while they tell me I don't look how they want me to look, and listen all day to the f-word being thrown around, and fucking apparently at Wendy's now it's going to be cool to do that shit all the time? God, fuck that. Seriously. Business owners, lol.

I'll probably delete this or apologise to you tomorrow, but I shouldn't.
