they changed their BBQ probably over a decade ago to what is essentially a sweet jelly and it sucks so bad, their sauce used to be great. now it's Arby's or BK

 

I like their bbq sauce

 

JBC and Double Stack are perfect side burgers. If you know what I'm talking about.

 

They have the best honey mustard that's what I'm usually getting with to dip nuggies.

 

I just ordered DQ from doordash and decided I'm gonna try and construct a McGangbang with their menu

Yeah that was way too much. I ate half of it. Definitely not that great and this DQ really laid that mustard on thick. Every time I wiped my mouth the napkin was bright yellow, not even a little orange or red from ketchup

 

Chilis is so good and I don't understand why my fiance would choose Applebee's over them 10 times out of 10 haha

 

Yeah Chili's rules and is way better than Applebee's.

 

I don't have any chilis near me but I won't tolerate Applebee's slander

Wow, Aldi store brand smart food is just as good as the real thing

 

I don't know if Gordetto's is regional or how regional it is, but if it's available to you, their new Aged Cheddar snack mix is incredible

 

Also, full(ish) report on some weird snacks from this weekend:

- I'm not insane, the cola oreos did exist before. They weren't Coke-specific and they were actually cherry cola, but they did have the pop rocks as well. They were bad. The Coca-Cola Oreos are shockingly good! The cola flavor is more subtle than I expected and I think it might actually be incorporated into the red cookie (the oreo cookie seems normal). I wouldn't go dipping them into milk, but I like them enough that I genuinely might buy one more pack before they go away.

- The Oreo Coke Zero is kind of underwhelming. There's definitely a dark aftertaste that kind of whispers chocolate, but if I didn't know what it was ahead of time, I doubt Id be able to put my finger on it. Will have to come back when I don't have the cookie taste in my mouth.

- Bonus: the pink lemonade Kit-Kat is great. Pretty much tastes like a "normal" lemon Kit-Kat or lemon wafer cookie, both of which I've enjoyed in the past. Not really weird at all.

 

Somewhat related to above but I'm surprised you can't buy chocolate coke in cans or bottles. It would never be as good as one made from the fountain but it's a fantastic drink

 

I think Burger king has the worst burgers. I had 2 bad experiences with a whopper where it was just absolutely disguising and inedible and I refuse to go back and potentially waste my money again.

I don't know which fast food has the best true bruger though, as when I normally go I'm ordering the cheap shit like a Junior Bacon or a Double cheeseburger. Can't remember the last time I had a full on Dave's, or a quarter pounder or a big mac.

As bad as it is for you, a double cheeseburger and a McChicken from McDonalds will always hit the spot. There's something about the McDonalds mayo on the McChicken that just hits.

I also feel like McDonalds gets shit on as it's the de factor 'fast food' and when people don't eat fast food, they use McDonalds as the catch all phrase (like ipad, iphone etc) and they're not really disparaging McDonalds itself, just fast food in general.

 

I'm all about a quarter pounder with cheese or a McChicken stuffed in the center of a McDouble.

Five Guys or McDonalds are the best fast food burgers around imo

 

I don't eat meat so I'm not a good authority on burgers but I feel like the specific franchise/management heavily impacts who's best. The burger king in my hometown made a great impossible whopper. The BK by my house now is garbage and I never go. The Carl's Jr by my bfs old apartment was awful but the one by us now is great and they package everything up so nicely.

It's dumb tho since the appeal of fast food is supposed to be consistency

 

Have you tried the whopper jr w/ cheese? I think it's far superior to the original whopper. But if it's from a poorly run BK, not much is going to change. It's a better ratio of ingredients and it doesn't fall apart as soon as you to start to eat it.

 

Burder king burders suck. Get that fake char taste outta here.

I just bought brioche hot dog buns, and while I'm excited and am sure it's gonna be absolutely delicious, there's something kind of funny to me about having food that is absolutely terrible for you in such a nice presentation

 

Hot dogs are actually good for you.
