this is part of why I hate the insistence that everyone have a position or connect every single thing sometimes…it’s okay to be mostly concerned about one issue and not be pressured into commenting on another issue at the moment lol. What level of self determination should a community have over its demographics. I don't think the answer is zero while the political and owning class get free reign in the name of line go up economics.

Is it wrong for a community to resist an outside population implanting its culture? When we talk about colonialism and gentrification the answer is no. In Ohio the immigrants don't fit into the oppressor role but the community is still feeling the uncomfortable effects of a cultural shift orchestrated by the ruling class.
