Maybe my eyes deceive me, but that video makes me think the 10 is bigger than the Ultra. But that goes against Apple’s stated dimensions for each.

 

I've seen that in a few videos but I think it's just how they're being captured side-by-side.

 

I have another 7 days to decide if I'm keeping this Ultra 2 (that's when I need to buy Applecare by) but after looking over everything it does compared to my S7 - I just don't see why it's worth the $750 I paid to try it out outside of battery life.

And battery life is compelling but not enough for that cost when I could probably get another year or two out of the S7 or even switch to a smartring.

 

512gb or 1tb iPhone Pro Max? I have 2tb of iCloud data but I haven't been utilising it by the looks of it as my phone is full.

 

I'm leaning towards the 256gb Pro but I might end up doing 128gb instead if I get one at all. Huge part of me is tempted to wait until the iPhone 17 but my 12 Mini overheats all the time and it's getting infuriating.

 

I think I'm gonna go Ultra 2 mainly because of battery life - but because I usually get a new Apple Watch every 3-4 years, it worries me a little to get the Ultra 2 a year into it's release cycle vs getting the Series 10 that is brand new?

 

I wouldn't necessarily worry about that. In the long term you may get one more update on the S10 chip vs S9, but not something to fret over. You can find pretty good deals on existing Ultra 2's that have the current band lineup if you're looking to save some money. I think the Ultra 2 is going to be supported for quite a while.

 

I have a natural titanium ultra 2 I bought in Feb I’ll sell to someone here for like $450 or so haha

 

Back to thinking I’ll order the Pro Max tomorrow. But do I go natural or desert?

The 16 Pro is better in every way, get that.

 

I upgraded to the public beta two days ago (out of pure restlessness) and iOS 18 is pretty awesome but I can’t jive with the new photos app. At least you can reorder the layout (the default is a nightmare, maybe the actual release version will be better) but the way albums/sections like Favorites work being top down and the most recent item being partially covered by the album name is fiddly and annoying.

 

If you’re not sensitive to 120hz I say get the 16 “normal”.

ordered almost an hour after pre orders went live. Remember when you had to set alarms and have your choice pre saved in order to get something on launch day?

 

Preordered the 16 Pro Max 256gb in white, canceled because I wanted to use a different credit card, ordered again and now it’s not set to arrive until first or second week of October. Not a big deal, just mad at myself for not using the correct card in the first place!

Still debating if I’m going to get a 16 pro max within the next few months or just wait til the next one. Feels like I just got my 15 pro max.

 

Debated on the desert titanium but in the end, just went with natural. I still love that look on my 15 Pro Max so much.

Easiest pre-order experience I've ever had, especially compared to last year. Done in under a minute.

 

I went with white. Initially it was between natural and desert, but the more I looked at photos and videos of desert, the less I liked it. Ended up not doing natural because I was worried I’d end up getting bored with it.

despite this being my first day one purchase of an iPhone, this is the least excited I’ve ever been for a new phone, lol. I wish I could’ve held off for the 17 but I can’t do another year with my 12 mini. Plus I’m sure it’ll feel like a decent upgrade from that.

 

Ordered the Ultra 2 in black with the Milanese loop, shipping already blown out to 4-6 weeks

 

i was upset last year when the Ultra 2 dropped and there was no black color like the rumors were speculating. I understand they held it an extra year to drive sales since they knew in advance they weren’t doing the Ultra 3 this year, but I’m a little envious. Enjoy your purchase!

 

I’m assuming reviews are going to be on Wednesday. I really want to see the Watch colors as I have to decide what to do about this Ultra 2 today.

Actually, decided what I'll do. If I decide to upgrade, I'm going titanium with the trade-in.
