Hopeful for Blinkin Park tour that was supposed to happen

 

I was lucky to get free tickets to the Cage the Elephant + Young the Giant show at MSG tonight. Aside from both their debut albums I wasn’t familiar with their stuff, but was shocked that 1) they were able to fill the Garden, and 2) how young the crowd seemed. Did they both blow up on tik tok or something?

Was impressed with both bands though.

 

That would be sick, now with Tom back in even more so. Throw in Thrice as an opener and a surprise set by Angels and Airwaves with Eddie back as their bass player lol.

 

I’ve noticed this too… I didn’t hit a date from the tour, but a lot of photos I’ve been seeing, the audience seems pretty young?

 

Was there as well and shocked by the amount of apparent die-hard Cage The Elephant fans

I’m gonna say LP has got a big label/money behind them and their PR will get in front of it and the tour/album will go on as planned with this being minimally or not addressed as all

I will say after watching that Kids In The Dark Nickelodeon special I get the sense that Mastersons lawyers weren’t entirely forthcoming with details about what he was charged w when asking his friends and coworkers to write those letters of support…or maybe I’m just an eternal optimist who refuses to believe there are people out there who would write such kind things of a rapist

 

I mean I feel like rumors of that shit were out there well before he was ever charged. I remember Ashton getting a ton of hate for writing that Ranch show with him because that was all out there.

 

Very possible I just feel like I can imagine an entertainment lawyer telling other people like “Danny is in some small legal trouble and you know him and know he wouldn’t ever do anything wrong so write this letter about your great experiences”

 

Out of curiosity I joined the queue for Linkin Park tickets this morning (Brooklyn show). Definitely dynamic pricing going on, as the majority of the tickets were $540 each.
There were a pair of nosebleeds for $74 each but when I went to add to cart they suddenly changed to $125 each.

No one should be paying $540 to see a band with only 50% of its actual members, especially at the worst sounding venue I’ve ever been to
