I like Cut Me Off and See You a lot more in the context of the deluxe album. Idc what they say I'm never letting those two songs interrupt the flow between Other Side and Childhood!

I wouldn't go as far as saying it's almost unlistenable, but I do think it's weird that the auto tune is so prominent in those mark verses especially. Doesn't seem like it's that complicated of a melody for him to sing

Yup, I immediately scrubbed them from the regular album and just put them as track 1 and 2 on part 2 as a separate record like they did with the vinyl.

  6. I think that's the way. I'm going to make Part 2 its own thing, without the regular album.

Honestly just happy to have new blink-182 with the three of them in the year 2024 and for it to be mostly hits rather than misses.

  8. This is good. Little more mellow than part 1 so far but in a good way. The aggressive stuff was an awesome re-introduction to this lineup and these are a little more breezy so far. Enjoying.

  9. That effect is absolutely on purpose as an artistic choice.

Same except I put No Fun as the first track for the deluxe since the intro sounds more like an opening track to me

The guitar part in the verses of If You Never Left remind me of the verses in I Won’t Be Home for Christmas lol.

Yea I figured since it's not a complicated melody to sing. I definitely see why some are turned off by it though

I think the overly-done autotune is done deliberately as a stylistic choice. The slidey robotic sound is more of a vocal effect than just simply for pitch correction. They did the same thing with Tom's second verse in "Fell In Love" every time he uses that downward inflection.

Edit: Sorry, I was too slow. ha.

  14. I can hear Aldae's influence more in these for sure. Assuming he has co-writes on some of these at least.

Oh my god these songs whoop so much ass. Silly ass grin on my face the entire time.

Every other weekend has all of the parts of the BLINKWAVE Always Cure parts. The guitar parts on the verses also sound kind of sway punx like a toned down part from a Pianos Become the Teeth / Title Fight song. Really nice touch.

Can’t Go Back is a stand out and will forever remind me of seeing them on this run.

Holy Shit Everyone Everywhere hits so many blink callbacks. Marks verses are lifted from NINE, the riff is a Boxcar part, Tom’s parts sound Neighborhood’sy. The Bridge is a straight up Untitled Part giving huge Violence vibes. That one broke my brain. How does all of that work together in one song. Probably the biggest surprise to me.

If you never left Mark parts reach the heights of BAD NEWS as a perfect Mark pop punk part.

One Night stand is classic Blink. Love the weird “do I run” part.

Take me in is like a sister song to CHILDHOOD.

I will likely be playing these songs to death. Sounds like there was a lot of “fuck it, that sounds rad, let’s do it” while recording. So good. Grateful blink fan today.

I do wish it was on streaming as an EP and not tacked on to the end of OMT. Definitely making it a playlist as its own thing too.

I havent heard any of the songs or even clips. Patiently awaiting for my vinyl copy to deliver. Whenever that is. Hopefully before end of year.

  21. Press release:
The release serves as a thank you from blink to their passionate fans for a blockbuster year, as well as a celebration of their single “ONE MORE TIME” which officially tied the record for longest alternative airplay number 1 run, spending an incredible 20 weeks at the top of the chart.

ONE MORE TIME… PART-2 arrives in multiple physical configurations in addition to digital. These include the 2 LP COMPLETE DELUXE EDITION (featuring all 27 tracks available on limited-edition Blue Balls Colored Vinyl in a Gatefold Jacket with a Printed Insert), and the 1LP DELUXE TRACKS ONLY variant (which includes 10 tracks pressed on vinyl for the first time —namely the 8 brand new tracks plus 2 bonus tracks previously only available digitally). The DELUXE TRACKS ONLY vinyl variant will be pressed on limited-edition Red Rocket Colored Vinyl in a Standard Jacket with a Printed Insert.

Purchase ONE MORE TIME… PART-2 at the band’s official D2C store HERE.

ONE MORE TIME… not only marked the first album to feature the group’s iconic lineup—Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker since 2011, but it also kickstarted the comeback of the decade. Last year, the album topped the Billboard 200 at #1, notching the band’s third career #1 debut on the respective chart. Given this stratospheric success, it concluded 2023 as “the biggest rock album of the year, registering over 1 billion streams to date.

The album also received widespread critical acclaim. In a coveted “HEAR THIS” review, Rolling Stone raved, “The California pop-punk pioneers hark back to the thrashing sound of their most beloved albums, 1999’s Enema of the State and 2000’s Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, as they tackle death, existential crises, and DeLonge’s return to the band after a hiatus that began in 2015,going on to profess, “ONE MORE TIME…offers the perfect opportunity to take one last stab at it all: the smart-ass attitude, the genre-defining music, and the rock-star dreams.SPIN proclaimed, “this reconciliation feels fresh, fun — and hits like a goddamn freight train, and KERRANG! hailed it as “one of the best, most consistent records of their whole career.SLANT says, “its brightest, most exhilarating spots are a welcome reminder of what made the trio so iconic in the first place.Brooklyn Vegan summed it up as an “enjoyable record that celebrates this band’s career and friendship, and it’s full of moments that are endearing and heartwarming, especially to longtime fans.”

Meanwhile, they have sold out stadiums on multiple continents, launching the biggest, boldest, and best world tour of their career in support of ONE MORE TIME…

Coming back together, surviving tragedy, and triumphing as loudly as possible, blink-182’s union as bandmates and brothers is stronger than ever. With PART-2, they deliver the definitive version of ONE MORE TIME… and show no signs of stopping or slowing down either.

All In My Head would be a massive live song.

Lol fair enough. Maybe a better way of phrasing it is that I like them more than the new tunes that were added to Part I. I never listen to those.

But then again, I do NOT like When We Were Young, the repetitiveness in the chorus for You Don't Know What You've Got does not work for me and Terrified is too BCR/Snake Charmer-y for me. Also, I don't know why I don't like Blink Wave. That kind of bothers me, actually.

So true, I see people criticize 'Childhood' for having obvious (and massive) use of autotune in the song, but I feel like it was purposefully done to add to the electronic and ethereal elements in that song.
