Anyone wanting to go to the Philly show tonight? My wife and I were gonna go but one of our kids is feeling under the weather so my wife said I should still go since the tickets were a father’s day gift.

They were great tonight in Philly although we got Quit Trying instead of The Stranger, but it sounded great and most everyone around me seemed to really be into the songs from 152.

 

As they should be.

 

Very disappointing to see Fred bring Watashi Wa on tour. Look at the Eager Seas thread on this website for countless reasons why

 

I also just saw that post, and why is Fred claiming Say Anything? Surely he isn't going to play SA covers?

Also, if they're adding Dave to this run, why not cut an opener or two instead of stacking the bill further?

 

I think it’s more he is currently in that band.

 

Saw that Mark just updated his Instagram saying he’s working on new music. I think he had a side project or two before so it’ll be interesting to see what comes of it and what it means for TBS

 

Yeah, please don't let him leave TBS...

 

Could be new stuff that winds up being used for tbs too, especially since he has written guitar parts for them before.

 

Yeah, I would say this is very bizarre.

No public comment about not touring/taking a leave of absence (privacy is one thing-but a small acknowledgement is another) and first post in 7 months is about working on new music with nobody from the TBS camp involved or interacting with the post?

also the first comment from hours ago says “did you leave TBS?” and nothing done to dispel rumors…

 

What guitar parts has he written?

 

IIRC he and Eddie wrote most of if not all of the guitar parts on TAYF together

 

I could’ve sworn we had this conversation like a few months ago…

 

I think some people are putting way too much stock in the instagram usage of a 40-something year old man.

 

I cried to y2k emo, like, weeks ago for days... Now I remember how much shit sucked.

 

Damn. Now Fred won’t be able to come back.

 

New project with Eddie

Gonna need us all to put some more respect on the name of Myspace users, the guy has been around social media for decades he doesn't get some kind of "old man" pass!

 

I meant that people were treating this like it Meant Something like he was some kind of pop girlie soft launching an internet scavenger hunt or like they were entitled to knowing every little detail and getting lengthy captions, when in reality he probably thought about it for as long as it took him to caption and post it, then put his phone aside to do something else, and didn’t even realize he had comments on it until about 3 hours ago.

With the exception of John, none of the guys in this band really post on Instagram all that much, even if they once had been more active on different forms of social media in their lives.

 

I want Mark to personally call me and fill me in on what's going on.
