Dig their old stuff, not so much the recent stuff, but still high hopes for this to make it click.

This is really great. Feels like with this album they’ve become a fully chilled out version of Stereolab or Sufjan Stevens in the way they were always meant to sound. Looks like they also got a good review on Pitchfork (7.3)

Didn't realize this was out already. Will give it a listen if I can bring myself to turn off the new MJ Lenderman.

 

yeah @topshelfsquad has been plugging them for a minute which introduced me to them

 

I really dug this record, the Sufjan-ness of some of the arrangements (and tbh some of the vocals) is almost uncanny but frankly I'm here for it. The additional Belle & Sebastian and Stereolab vibes really bring things together.
