That's another thing I meant to point out earlier — the guy they cast to play Richard Horne is so perfect. Looks exactly like the rest of Hornes and is despicable every moment he's on screen.

I really hope he gets to make Snootworld, the idea of an animated fairy tale by David Lynch is too good to lose.

 

Part 16! Cooper waking up, and the theme music playing! Then to go from that right to Diane's story, my god.

those last few episodes had a chokehold on me unlike anything else

 

Yeah, wow, those last two episodes are quite a ride and I'll be thinking about them for a while. Really, really loved this series by the end though, despite my lukewarm feelings about parts of season one.

His "I am the FBI" delivery is so chilling. Lynch proves that you were wrong to want Cooper right away and the withholding to serve the Dougie storyline completely works out.

 

Just rewatched Mulhoulland Drive for the first time. Truly fantastic film. It’s so fun looking at all the different theories and speculations online.

 

Ive been holding off on a rewatch hoping it was going to get a screening at the arthouse chain, but it looks like its only happening in Melbourne.

 

They are showing Lost Highway here so i guess ill see that instead

there's a lot of similarities in Mulhoulland Drive and The Return that I caught on my rewatch. specifically the fracturing of Diane's identity and creating a "time-loop" in the dimension of dreams / changing the past. but honestly, the main takeaway I got after watching was that I need to see it a third time lol. there's just so much there

liked eraserhead, thought elephant man was fine, dune was cheeks, loved blue velvet
