If we're ignoring IC, TBEITBN is the worst Thrice album

I recall some crazy good parts on MM, and well, the memories on top of that

Mm is probably my least favorite thrice record but it has a couple of my favorite songs

MM / palms. Like half of each. But way too much that feels like a b side of the record prior to it.

both not bad. Just not up to their standard. For me.

    roamer. wanderer. nomad. vagabond.

not counting first impressions and IC, i'd say M/M is my least favorite. not a bad album per sae, but just doesn't click with me.

I can see that, I felt like The Grey was them chasing that big rock hit of Black Honey, both were inferior to Beggars and TBEITBN

I like that they took their time this album cycle instead of trying to release another album every two years. Hopefully it pays off with another classic.

I really hope they're able to make something undeniable again. They have a devout following no matter what they put out, but for the long-term viability of the band, this next record has to strike a chord in some way, shape or form. It's been almost a decade since "Black Honey" gave them a second wind, and while I don't expect another chart-topping single, something that resonates would sure be nice. Then again, the nostalgia tours did so well that maybe they don't need much convincing to keep the enterprise going even longer.

  11. if only they released two extremely well received projects since then :chin:

I find the concern posting so weird about this band

Haha those nostalgia tours were fucking nice, still hoping for at least a mini The alchemy index tour.
I think they are good, I think they've been playing bigger venues these last few years than what they were in 08-11 at least out here in northern california

The new version gives me chills, really is so good
This, Blood clots, and Paper tigers were already some of my favorite songs from the original but they somehow they topped them. An album with Dustin and Chuck Ragan collaborating would be sick.

    Fight the long defeat.

There's no way Major/Minor is their worst album when Palms came out as tepidly as it did. In both production and poetics (whether or not you agree with Dustin's statements, spiritually), it's at least better than that album.

This band's still great—H/E proved there's plenty left in the tank, and musically they're strong as ever.

I just remember that loser who kept yelling Deadbolt at their Berkeley H/E show and then flipped off Dustin when he didn’t play it. I hope that person never experiences joy again.

I wonder if they'll celebrate Vheissu's 20th year anniversary next year even though 2020's tour feels like just yesterday
