Looks like Hillary should definitely win the popular vote yet Trump could still pull off 300+ electoral votes. What is the most a candidate ever got while losing the popular vote?

I've been sitting with my laptop for over an hour trying to figure out what to say, but nothing feels as adequate as "Fuck."

I'm an European, but i'm still going to give my opinion,
this is the worst scenario now (and not at all unlikely):

this has convinced me that Le Pen will take France and Wildeers will take the Netherlands.
That combined with brexit means that the EU is completely toast and the world economy with it. We're looking at the great depression level recession.
Trump not honouring NATO article 5 means war in eastern and northern Europe.

    Crazy crazy crazy times ahead.
The West is commiting ritual suicide.

I don't think I've ever been more proud to be Canadian.

Also: What exactly is Trumps policy on Climate change?
I'm fearing the worst here. Visions of coal mines popping up every few miles ASAP just to make a quick buck.

I'm trying to figure out why I was complaining when I was pretty free, now that we won't have that it's going to be hella drastic

This was a big win for white supremacy. Part of me wants to fight for this country and revolt but there's a big part of me that doesn't know if it's worth it. I don't want to live in a country that would vote for a platform of racism, sexism and homophobia.

More oil drilling, fracking, less clean energy. Also getting rid of the EPA and any other regulations put forward by Obama. Basically, the environment is fucked

France has a more bullet proof way of selecting president when it comes to keeping populists out. The Netherlands is a parliamentary democracy with a lot of vibrant parties compared to even most other parliamentary democracies, so one party getting enough votes to govern by itself is nearly impossible. So yeah, not too likely, especially in the Netherlands.
