Orton/Gunther put me to bed but that Owens/Cody match was soooo fuckin good

 

Insane that before aew i did not know about orange cassidy or mjf.

 

I think I had only heard of OC. I used to listen to We Watch Wrestling and they mentioned him, maybe from the Bar Wrestling promotion?

but the gimmick at the time was whoever wore his glasses was slow and aloof

 

Gotta feel awesome hearing your daughter get a huge pop like that.

 

NXT time

 

Their initial presentation was also awful & around the time Vince was at his worst with the gimmick/name changes with the main roster call-ups. Not that LA Knight was a big star in NXT, but they straight up changed his name & his entire demeanor. Mace & Mansoor could also talk & grew into it when they could do things on their own & not have it be monitored 24/7. I remember turning Smackdown on at a hotel when they made their debut & I thought it was the wrong channel.

 

at what point do we start talking about how good Andre chase is? man is the most under appreciated performer in all of nxt and consistently delivers while wearing a Christmas sweater

I don't watch NXT at all anymore, but one thing I do know is that Andre Chase is the best person on there.

 

Ridge Holland turned on Chase U?

 

Tag match was so good. Their chemistry is really great.

Ridge turn was expected.

 

Lee/Wentz ruled too

 

I haven’t really watched nxt I’m assuming HBK has done a pretty good job ?

That match was certainly big meaty men slapping meat. Very good.

 

Those two definitely brought the best out of each other. Match exceeded my expectations

 

Considering the switch to developmental they made (at least until the last few months), arguably he's done more than HHH did with the Black and Gold Era. The bits I've seen, the matches have all been good, they're developing characters, and its all with fresh talent.

And Iron Survivor is still the best concept in wrestling (now that LU is off the air with Aztec Warfare)...its even better than the Casino Gauntlet

Have to say that Jaida continues to impress and improve a lot. She’s got her selling down and she speaks incredibly well.

 

I’m convinced she’s a star. Once she gets a few more miles in the ring I think she has all the pieces to be huge.
