who's ready for the dark souls release???

 

Right here! Just like Quantum Break, it is downloaded and ready to go.

 

I'm always ready for some Dark Souls.

 

i am a last-minute kind of person when it comes to these things, so i'm literally heading to gamestop today to see if i can reserve a CE. if not i'll put up the 60 for digital and pre-download

 

I played regularly for a while. I have 5 characters at level 80. I recently made Zojja's Greatbow for my ranger.

3 of my characters are cosplays. Made sure the class they have fits their character as well. My ranger is Green Arrow, my guardian is Lightning (specifically with the Lightning Returns outfit), and my thief is Blake Belladonna (RWBY).

I completed Day of the Tentacle: Remastered over the weekend, and I'm now playing through again to get all the trophies. Anyone else pick it up?

 

Think I'm going to have fun with The Division until UC4 gets here, and then try and beat Witcher 3 in the summer when I have some time off. Hopefully I'll finish before No Man's Sky.

 

@aspeedomodel did, i have my eye on it definitely but don't have the funds at the moment for more games i'll get around to "eventually."

 

When you do, be sure to play Maniac Mansion first (if you've never played the series before). The first one is hidden within DOTT, all you have to do is use Weird Ed's computer and you can play it.

 

Super excited! Reviews look solid, sounds like it's going to be a great wrap up to one of the best series out there.

I played a lot last year. I have an 80 Necro and an 80 Beserker, but I got pretty worn out after that. I thought Heart of Thorns would inspire me to keep playing but it was kind of a flop in my eyes. I fire it up every once in a while when I have an itch to play something big, but all I really do is work on a little world completion and move onto a different game.

 

Level 37 was about as epic as I expected it to be. Athena's Wrath of the Goddess paired with Zeus' Rage is ridiculous. (I haven't tried pairing Hades' Shackles with Epicenter yet.)

Going through True Vault Hunter Mode, I realize that this game doesn't have any truly memorable standout maps like Old Haven in Borderlands or Lynchwood in Borderlands 2. I mean, the settings look great. Each moon setting and space station setting has enough detail and coloration to make it unique and easy to differentiate from the ones before it. Going through them, though, I'm never like, "wow this map is really cool and fun to clear I wouldn't mind spending hours grinding here just because" like I was with the aforementioned BL and BL2 maps.

 

Man, playing Gears of War Ultimate Edition brings on the nostalgic feels. It seems like one of those rare first games in a franchise that perfects its core gameplay mechanics. Can't think of another cover-based TPS that feels quite as satisfying. Game is funnier than I remember too - love how "FIGHT THROUGH THE PAIN" is a morale-booster you hear after getting shot in the stomach with a gnasher, bleeding out on the ground before getting up seconds later. Those dudes are so rediculously gruff, haha.

 

One of my favorite franchises. I am excited for what The Coalition is going to do moving forward.

 

does anyone play final fantasy 14? i'm thinking about starting whenever i finish dark souls 3

 

I tried it, couldn't get into it.

 

I did. I'll get back to it at some point because I'm only level 22 or so. Just can't afford to subscribe, esp when I'm focusing on other games right now (want to finish FF Explorers and FF type-0 HD, and I just started The Division recently).

 

That's pretty cool that you cosplayed a bunch of yours, I just kind of find a look i think is cool and keep playing. I overplayed and got burned out so I log daily and just do some world bosses and stuff now. I recently made Sunrise and after that grind i needed to scale it back a bit.

I enjoyed Heart of Thorns quite a bit the new maps are pretty fun, I liked that there not just a flat map and theirs different levels and the metas are fun. I got like 7 lvl 80's with elite specs unlocked and 2 legendaries.

 

I just watched two quick videos posted on Facebook of all the startup musical intros for all the Xbox versions and then the Playstaions. I have to say hearing the PS2 start up sound again hit me with a brick wall of nostalgia. I was so young then(meh, early high school) and so excitable on new games where you only could really read about them from Gamepro or EGM mags.

@SpyKi oh man i love EZA/GT but i 'm holding off on looking at anything for this game before playing it.

 

If I happen to play Dark Souls 3, in going to wait several months to where there are plenty of best practices and guides on the internet so I don't have to beat myself up over figuring battles out and what to do.

 

Did you want to team up on The Division? I remember mentioning it a while back but never really asked again, lol.

 

It's pretty much spoiler free as I expected which is why I watched it. It does show some enemy designs and give a few details away though. I'm just so excited.

 

that's half the fun!! haha. and discussing stuff with everyone else playing it.

 

My favorite startup sound / scene would definitely be the Dreamcast. I loved that one - the music and the animation of the logo being circled out. Also I'll never forget the "Seeegaaaa" when starting up games way back whenever.
