    Another festival bites the dust.

Let's be real, there are just way too many for the US to sustain, especially when they're *all* fairly expensive these days.

John // OC now, OH forever.

I think GA for this was $299-399 for the weekend and adding camping was another $300. I'm not surprised they had trouble selling tickets.

I’m not sure if it’s true, but someone on Reddit stated that Desert Daze only sold about 1200 tickets. Huge yikes if that’s true. It was only a month and a half out

Papa Roach seem to be hinting an announcement soon. I imagine this is the Infest 25th anniversary tour

They fucked up with Cigarettes after Sex as a headliner. King Gizz or Tame Impala would have moved tickets tbh

Seeing an independent festival like Desert Daze bite the dust makes me increasingly more appreciative that I have an amazing independent festival (Four Chord) right in my back yard every year that appears to continually be successful.

At least they don't continually shoot themselves in the face like Riot Fest.

    Since '06

Been preaching about Desert Daze here for awhile now but they went the FYF fest route with the continuous growth model and kind of lost hold of themselves.

Also it would've cost more than Coachella to car camp when their whole thing was Coachella but cheaper.

Its the first time I heard about Lucidity Festival, but posting a statement about canceling the festival, going out of business and not giving refunds is a new low

A few years ago I bought a ticket to a "festival" that got cancelled and never refunded anyone (not even bands that paid to play there), although they claimed they will. Since I paid with Paypal I was pretty screwed. Since then I only buy tickets to events with my credit card, it offers protection in cases like these.

From their website, they postponed the 2024 edition and tickets were transfered to a now non-existent 2025 edition. I cant imagine the ammount of money they are running away with from all ticket holders.
