Phillips was nasty in the 9th inning but they gotta take that opportunity in the 7th way before that point. Gunnar’s batting decisions with 2 outs and bases loaded there were not a high point for him this season.

definitely toward the end felt like when my gut said “SWING AT THAT PITCH” our guys didn’t and that hurt. Late adjustment to how the previous pitcher was pitching. Went from swinging constantly at a guy throwing 9/10 outside the strike zone, to not swinging at all to a guy throwing every first pitch in the strike zone.

Phillips changed it up perfectly throwing cutters and 2 seamers, they definitely weren’t easy pitches to hit or read. No one had the confidence to swing after swinging at everything in the middle innings. The slider that struck out Urias was a really good pitch at a really good time cause somebody needed to grow a pair and swing at something at that point.

I’m not mad at Cowser for not swinging at that high fastball, that was a bad call by the ump on a great read, but at that point you’re down 0-2, trust your gut and swing at that third pitch. Wide strike zone on the last at bat? Fuck it, crush that shit. He hesitated instead and that hurt.

 

Think they can get at least one win this next series lol
