are people going to go more for the music or to see if they are going to get into a fight on stage?

    Aaaachem!

Eh, this has been in the works for a couple years I believe and they both seem pretty on board and mellowed with age.

Definitely interested to see how sales go. It's difficult for me to not see Oasis as just a 1990's relic with no real relevancy today, but I've also never really understood the appear of the band.

I think you'd be surprised (at least here in the UK) as demand is already through the roof.

I'm wondering if this is it - or they have a bunch of festival offers and US offers on the table, but they just want to gauge demand on these before committing?

I could also see despite the demand, they might not want to overdo it and risk another fight between them.

    Might be Spider-Man...

Vegas is taking betting odds they break up before this show

Someone posted a list of the dates yesterday on twitter but wasn't sure if they were real and looking at them and comparing them to the dates above they were all correct so the only dates listed that weren't announced would be Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford, Boston, LA and Mexico City

They're about as big as Nirvana was in the States. Every pub in the UK plays a Oasis song at least once a night (I'm guessing :)

Thats how all their tours start though. Everything is good till they actually have to be together day in and day out. Family feuds can always be nasty especially brothers that genuinely hate one another. This is decades of hate.

maybe the last huge pay day can keep them happy, but the Gallagher brothers are spiteful and have walked way from money plenty of times.

As much as everyone likes to talk about their fights, they are legitimately really solid live and Liam on the tambourine is a site to behold!

I bet hardly any Oasis fans know of The Story So Far so if they opened it would probably confuse alot of people. Sorry for the bad joke, I’ve been holding that one for a decade.

That is the craziest post I’ve read on here in a bit. I’m currently in Europe where the band has been on full blast since the announcement. I was also a musician “all request” in Vegas for a decade. They are one of the most relevant bands from the 90’s. Do some research:)

    England.

It seems like you’re saying this just to have a dig simply because they’re not to your personal taste. I’d be genuinely surprised if it takes longer than about 3 minutes for them all to sell out. I’m guessing you’re not in the UK? If logistics allowed they’d have easily been able to beat Taylor Swift’s record of consecutive nights at Wembley. The money involved, news interest and desire for tickets shows you how relevant they are.

To put it into context this is probably the biggest news in the music world since Oasis broke up. But hey, if you don’t like them then they must be a relic!

Ok boff. I’ve been listening to them since I was noine and I just want to hold out hope I can see them live. In many ways, their last tour was a bit of a stumble.

  20. I was always so confused by how endearing and tender their melodies and lyrics can be in contrast to their personalities lol - I assume this has probably been written about or something?

I don't know, I've revisited those videos from that 2008 Wembley MTV live from time to time which was shortly before they broke up and they sounded great.

But yes, like many others I never thought this would happen. Still, I know there's been a massive demand for it for years so they're probably making silly money from this.

I still return to Oasis every few months and put them back into heavy rotation and they were one of my first favorite bands. Noel's ability to write straightforward but excellent melodies and songs especially at his prime for those first few records (even the bsides) has allowed that band to endure where so many of their peers haven't.

And that's why you always leave a note.

Now I'm just picturing Oasis with the stage presence of blink 182 and it's genuinely hilarious.

I once saw Oasis and Blink on the same lineup. It was quite the day.

Oh my, now there's an eclectic bill. Haha. I can only imagine what Oasis would think of blink-182.

Yeah it was a very interesting lineup for a radio Christmas show. Oasis, Blink, Bush, and Ben Harper!
