sincere ask: Is there ANYONE doing election predictions/hypothetical electoral maps right now that’s worth looking at?

 

Quoting this both because Ice T is dope, but also because this weekend my family went up to New Jersey because my niece got married and anyway, my mom, my brother, and I all shared a hotel room.

The two of them fall alseep to the TV, which was fine because the first night it was Fraiser, but the last night my brother left it on an SVU marathon, and that is not an easy show to fall asleep to by any stretch of the imagination.

One episode got me incredibly angry, actually. Using spoiler tags because triggers, but it was about an online group of incels that plotted to rape each other's targets out of some incredibly sick revenge scheme, and one of them ended up killing a guy and another found out their target never returned their call because he had the wrong phone number the whole time.

Anyway, main reason I'm sharing this is because I find it incredibly fucking amazing in a very bad way that anyone could think a show where every single episode is about some form of the same terrible crime could go "woke".

Yeah, I kind of gathered that too, but I think that's true of all of those kinds of shows. I mean, you're not going to make a cop show that shows them all being incompetent and racist.

Although in one of the episodes they really fucked up and got the woman they were representing murdered and the abusive husband got their kid, so I guess they absolve being imcompetent by showing them being really sorry and feeling bad about it.
