Watched House of the Devil last night. Liked it, but found it very flawed. Lot I would tweak to make it better, but it's a neat homage.

Saw blink twice on Friday and besides a drunk guy trying to fight me as the movie started I enjoyed it but it is very disturbing/hard to watch at times.

 

Hey you can’t write that and not explain what led to it!

 

This guy sat down 2 seats away from my gf and was clearly drunk and had like 10 snacks with him. He was loudly talking during the previews and dropping his snacks all over the place which I didn’t care about because it’s the previews so I didn’t say anything. Then as the movie starts he was legit shouting “Jesus Christ, oh my god is that a lizard” and then just shouting “oh my god” over and over so I leaned over and said “hey man could you please be quiet” to which he replied “hey man don’t fucking talk to me, don’t tell me what to do” and then kept muttering shit under his breath and then sat forward on his chair and kept staring at me and then my gf saying “I’m not gonna let this guy fucking talk to me” so we just got up and found 2 empty seats a few rows ahead. I really wanted to punch him though!

 

Only recall seeing Colby in The Boys but I really like her in it. apparently she was also in Glee, Jessica Jones, Mrs. Maisel, and Blindspot.

 

is it really graphic or is it just implied?

 

there are maybe 2 scenes that are kinda graphic and were hard to watch.

 

Mixed on Strange darling. Amazing to look at, super engaging and great performances. But I’m sort of interpreting the big idea/plot twist to be WhAt iF ThE MaN iS gOoD aNd ThE WoMAN Is BAD AcTUAlLY?!?! That shit is weak as hell.

 

this shit drives me insane. Savages acting like YOU’RE the asshole when they are the one breaking the widely accepted “shut the fuck up during the movie” protocol.

 

yeah and usually I’m not that polite but he was clearly drunk so I said it as nicely as possible. we could still kinda hear him a few rows up until I think he fell asleep.

That’s horrifying. People are insane so it’s rare that I openly say something to someone in a theater. My wife on the other hand doesn’t care and will.

This is exactly why I try to just ignore it more now. People just keep getting crazier so it’s terrifying not knowing if that random person is going to go off because you asked them to put their phone away or something.

But the dude at Longlegs pissed me off and was ruining it for me. I even gave him 40 minutes to not be a piece of shit. Lol

 

Yeah it really depends on the situation. When I saw Horizon: An America Saga - Chapter 1 of 4 there were 2 older ladies next to me that would lean over to each other every 10 minutes or so when something violent happened and would whisper like “oh I didn’t like that” and that just kinda made me laugh and didn’t ruin the experience. The drunk guy was a nuisance though.
