Can someone give me the lowdown on Taylor dating a 17-year-old in her 20s? Because I'm kind of shocked I didn't hear about it until today if it is, in fact, true

 

She dated Conor Kennedy who is RFK Jr.’s son when he was in high school and would sign him out of high school to go on dates. She was really infatuated with the Kennedy’s at the time. I believe she bought a summer home right next to his families summer home and crashed a Kennedy family wedding with Conor after the rest of the family told them not to come. I see people bring it up every so often but I don’t think anything truly malicious happened (correct me if I am wrong) aside from him being underage and there being a six year age gap.

 

ummmm what? that seems pretty off-putting. isn’t a 6yr age gap and being underage kind of a problem? Assuming age in consent was prob 17 in that state though, still weird.

I just read through everything regarding Erik from Proper. Jesus, what a horrible person he is and I am very glad that Nikki is now at a place where they are able to speak about what has been going on.

 

Yeah true, that is bad. I don’t know if anything further malicious happened which was my point, not to discredit the underage dating. The underage dating in and of itself is still bad.

 

She also dated John Mayer when she was 19 and he was in his 30s which not an excuse obviously

Also that Proper stuff sucks, and I don't want to detract from that which is a much more serious issue.

 

Yeah absolutely fuck that band. I remember his absolute meltdown over criticism about touring with TMP. Soured them for me ever since and now to see he’s an abuser ffs

There is A LOT going on with that Proper post. Yeef. I did take a look at the Mark guy's IG and I see that he apparently emailed A24 and maybe Jane Schoenbrun and some of the artists on the I Saw the TV Glow soundtrack about it? He also seems to have messaged Alex G about it, but fwiw, I just double-checked and I think he only did the score. Everything I can find online seems to point to Jane pitching and hand-selecting the artists on the soundtrack. I don't know how easy it would have been to remove an artist from a soundtrack at the point that A24 and Jane were notified, so for now, Indont see a reason to go after anyone but the abuser.

His mother had also recently committed suicide before he dated Taylor which prob left him in a vulnerable way. I remember it seemed extra egregious at the time because he wasn't even a senior in HS when they dated, he was still a junior. Which made him feel even younger.

 

Pretty sure she also dated Taylor Lautner when he was 17

granted she was 20 so the gap isn’t quite as pronounced but still

 

He’s also the reason we likely won’t get another Chon album

 

The Google doc is 50 pages so I’m honestly not sure how many people are going to sit and go through all 50 pages, that’s…a lot.
