there have been increasing rumors of him going back to non-IP stuff basically ever since maverick. glad to see it's actually happening, even if it's with a director no one should care about

 

Still never forget the story about Inarritu getting choked out by Tom Hardy on the set of The Revenant! Anyways non IP stuff.. Tom Cruise always stepped up and puts on amazing performances, it's crazy that people have forgotten that he's been Oscar nominated 3 times as an actor, first one for Born On The 4th of July, second one for Jerry Maguire and 3rd one for Magnolia and once as one of the main producers on Top Gun Maverick so he definitely wants the gold!!

 

Sometimes when I’m watching a movie, I like to see how long it takes for the movie to get to the core premise which is always stated in the advertising/brief summaries. Like “what would this movie experience be like for someone who has never heard of it and didn’t look it up as they were watching”

Currently watching Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and while there are hints to it, it doesn’t make explicit that they’re both assassins (and that they’re keeping it from each other) until over 20min in

Really good!! Proper underrated film and I highly recommend checking it out

 

If only all of those things weren't EXTREMELY easily avoidable problems.

 

Lionsgate is a weird studio. They make bank on really small budget movies, and strike out with their big-budget stuff that isn’ Hunger Games, John Wick or Twilight. That said, they must still be making good money on rep screening of two of those three.
