Anyone here do any paid PR for their releases or have luck DIY submitting album announcements/singles to sites for news post and/or review? Have an album coming out soon that we don’t wanna leave any release window stones unturned on.

(deep down I know nothing really matters if you’re unsigned except Spotify editorial playlists but figured there might be some knowledge here)

 

I've definitely had some luck DIY submitting, have never paid for a PR person but any site that charges for coverage is a scam. Try looking up blogs specific to your genre and don't hesitate to send to big music coverage sites just in case. (And start a thread here!)

 

Yea definitely have a dece idea of what to look for in terms of scams!! Have had a couple friends do 5 week PR campaigns to mixed results, was curious if any here have tried it but I think we've kinda made up our mind to not bother. We will see if I get bold enough to make a thread when it drops in a couple weeks

 

My debut album comes out in 10 days on August 30th! Entirely written and recorded by me. I'm excited for you all to hear it.
