I’m glad I don’t remember anything about Lover.

I wouldn't even be mad if Taylor released a Kamala variant for ppl who submit proof they voted but idk how that would work. I just have the genius ideas her team of zillionaires can figure out the execution

All I remember about lover aside from her being outspoken about big issues like LGBTQ+ is that it was one of her least popular eras and there were lots of questions about whether she had reached her peak and would never be "big" again (and it felt like Ariana, Billie, Lil Nas X, Post Malone, etc. were doing waaaay better). Little did any of us know what was to come though haha.

Which was dumb as hell for a record that was the biggest album of 2019 haha

I think none of the singles getting #1 on the Billboard chart played into that narrative but yeah hahah

I think people also feeling a type of way about Me didn't help, and the looks she was serving during the performances were not good. I feel like anecdotally to some Gen z folks I know and also me that song coupled with the aesthetic she was leaning into made her feel stale and corny and not in an endearing way. Tho I feel like lover the song did well. Obv she wasn't a flop but Folklore really gave her a second wind and opened up new audiences for her

Cruel Summer would’ve dethroned Old Town Road had she just released it as the obvious lead single it was.

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

I was really high on Lover when it first came out. The strong songs on it are REALLY strong but the weak ones bring it way down. But I still like listening to it more than TTPD.

She brought Charli on tour with her. Hard to believe that they would be feuding

Also like, for all the “mastermind” and “Easter egg” nonsense… if she’s feuding with someone, she’s the opposite of subtle about it.

  18. There’s a new Charli song that everyone thinks is about Taylor, and that’s where the feud stuff seems to be stemming from.

The song IS about Taylor but if you actually listen to the lyrics it's not Anti Taylor or anything dramatic, it's about Charlie's emotions. The only "feud" is dumbass "fans" who don't understand the lyrical content of a song

"So Long, London" still gives me chills. I don't see this song being brought up so much, but it might be the song that makes me FEEL something the most on the album. Jack's production through good speakers/headphones truly feels like the song is pulsing through my veins and a part of my body, it's so intense
