I gotta admit, I had some hope that she wouldn’t be as bad as Biden. I was out on Biden and open to Harris. But yeah she’s just as bad on the continuing genocide. And she’s not even offering any great policies anywhere else. It’s continue the genocide and also you get nothing. I’m looking for a crumb and I really can’t find anything in my most charitable interpretation.

Trump is falling apart so hope yall get enough votes to “save democracy” but I’m out.

Can’t fathom saying people who want America to stop orchestrating and funding and supplying and allowing and endorsing a genocide are ‘single issue voters’ like we’re talking about different tax policies or something. They’re fucking human beings. Would love for this dweeb to come talk to my friend Cimo’s at his shop — a man who has no one from his entire childhood in Palestine alive after he and his immediate family fled 18 years ago — and look him in the face and tell him the genocide just isn’t important enough of politically convenient for the Warhawk Dems who are looking for qanon officers to give 10 minutes and a platform to.

Remember all those children your knew in elementary school and lost touch with? Yeah that happened to my friend except Israel killed them all.

But the assertion that you're making here is that all issues should be weighted equally, which I don't think anyone on either side would agree with.

Also, knowing at least a little more about the political beliefs of the people you're talking about in this thread, it's not just one issue. That "one issue" is, in fact, a result of myriad issues within the US (capitalism, imperialism, racism, xenophobia, on and on).

just call it a genocide. don’t call it a single issue. say “the genocide” not “the single issue”

It’s technically accurate that genocide is less catastrophic than the entire Earth exploding into dust, so I could fuxx with calling these guys “single issue voters” and also adding “and they’re acting like it’s the end of the world when it’s not even the end of the world.” You can’t tell me this is reductive or offensive if it is technically literally accurate in a context-less void.

    You're a dipshit.

Sucking up all the oxygen in the room for your pedantic bullshit is absolutely an attempt to trivialize a genocide. You know what you're doing by calling it a single issue and then arguing semantics. This isn't taxation, it's ethnic cleansing, you ghoul.

“Oh, so you are a single issue voter then?”

I wonder how people would be discussing the genocide if Trump was currently in office. I feel like it wouldn’t be treated so glibly in that case

Yes. I don’t think you can reduce this to “single issue voting” and then claim anyone offended or who objects is being purposefully illogical/non-admitting of logic.

It’s also every single issue imaginable for them too.

100%. This is another Kids in Cages, War on Terror type of issue for a lot people. There are people who don’t truly care, it’s all theoretical for them and so it’s all about their sensibilities not being offended.

It is 10000% not my belief that they should all be weighed equally. It's a genocide. As I told penlab, it's not comparable to something like student debt. I'm using it as an adjective where y'all are thinking otherwise. Single, one, lone, sole. So again, if anyone has an alternative that that describes the process of basing their decision to vote on whether or not the genocide is addressed please let me know so I stop offending y'all.

Single issue voters doesn't translate well into "genocide voters".

mostly agree but I wouldn’t shuffle off gun gun rights as some small thing. Obviously the ideology of what genocide entails is more sinister but we’re still talking about 45K dead per year there with guns, and over 100K injured every year. “Epidemic” is putting it mildly sadly.
