All 4 of Denny’s are great. I enjoy interstellar but it’s a mess, Dunkirk is good, tenet is garbage and Oppie is great.

  6. that is a much more interesting question than the other one from this week comparing Denis and Cameron lol

Oppenheimer is probably the best of those eight films, but there are a lot of better directors to choose from.

  8. Arrival is my favorite of all of those, but they're all really great. I might give the edge to Denis just because I prefer some of the earlier Nolan stuff this batch though.

Tenet has some fun action scenes. 2049 doesn't have anything redeemable.

Villeneuve and Nolan are an interesting comparison because both have gotten better recently by going in opposite directions: Nolan is doing his best work making more human films, while Villeneuve has been better embracing his blockbuster talents.

Both Blade Runner movies are fantastic.

Probably should just put this in the unpopular opinions thread, but I hated Interstellar. It looks beautiful but I just couldn’t get into the story

A coworker of mine insisted that I watch Interstellar because it was his favorite movie. It was alright, it looked cool.

I had him watch Road House. He didn’t like it.

My fiance had me watch Detroit Rock City. Was pretty fun. Other than Bobby from The Sopranos attempting to assault Natasha Lyonne.

  24. I haven't seen 2049, Tenet, or Oppenheimer, and I thought Dunkirk was boring. Just based on what I've seen I like Denis more, but Interstellar is the only one on that list that's made me cry.

  25. After Ex Machina and Annihilation I thought Garland would be just as big a sci fi director, and maybe he is idk, but I hated Men and I have very little interest in Civil War
