Just saw this at a local ice cream shop way out in the countryside of Hokuto. Thought I’d share

 

I know it’s like a dead horse at this point but didn’t these speeches used to have more policy meat to them? I know that’s boring and not exciting but it sure would be nice to hear the candidate and party talk at least a little bit in detail about what they wanna do if they get elected beyond the shallow platitudes

I’ve only been closely following elections since 2016 (cause I’m not old) so I really can’t compare it to beforehand, but I feel as though each election is becoming less and less policy oriented

 

believe it or not big policy tends to get passed every presidency in the first couple years. Id like to hear more about what this rounds would be!

But we’ve been steadily hurdling towards where we are now which is, hey look black woman, cool right?

 

you’re right, the last two Democratic presidents didn’t pass any major legislation in their first two years. Clearly this presidency will do the same and they only have shallow platitudes, I should have known blah blah blah

thank you. I can’t remember them all clearly but I feel like I definitely used to remember these things being more about talking about an agenda, even with some details. Like yeah they had their pep rally feelings to it but it wasn’t the whole thing
